The resort is equipped with 2 dormitories, 13 eco cottages and 1 premium hut for shared accommodation, and 4 eco cottages for single accommodation.. All rooms have mountain view. The rooms and furniture are designed with natural and eco-friendly materials for comfortable stay. Curriculum

A redefined a curriculum as per the international standards of Yoga Alliance USA coupled with own expertise in the field of yoga. The prime objective is to prepare the future teachers physically and spiritually ready to practice and teach by themselves. We will lay down the foundations to become a successful and well-rounded yoga teacher.

The main areas that Green Yoga India covers in the program will be classified in 5 modules: Yoga teaching techniques, teaching methodology and yogic lifestyle, philosophy, anatomy and physiology, and practice.

Yoga teaching techniques

Yoga teaching techniques is one of the most important and essential parts of the course. This part of the teaching includes training, practicing and teaching techniques of traditional yoga practices like:

  • Asana (yoga postures) as per the different yoga stiles that we will teach in the course
  • Pranayama (breathing techniques)
  • Shatkarmas (cleansing techniques)

Teaching methodology

Dancing

As part of the special program, workshops on therapy yoga, laughter yoga, corporate yoga, acro yoga, Kundalini yoga and yoga for weight loss will also be included. Activities such as, silent walking meditation, satsang, cultural program, and environmental awareness program will also be conducted.

Retreat reminders

This month long program is an opportunity to look deep inside yourself by training your body and mind and heading towards the soul following certain yamas and niyamas (dos and donts) as described below:

During the training, consumption of drugs, smokes and drinks are prohibited. Understand that this training is a beginning of your new life.

Please inform Green Yoga India well in hand if you have undergone any recent injuries or surgery. Also if you are having any disease or food allergy.

Although the environment is encouraging and the concern about the health and safety of the students, if any injury occurs during the course and practice, the school and affiliated teachers are not liable. It is the students own responsibility toward safety.

Even though the retreat is very safe and secure it is advised that students take care of their valuable belongings.

Students should be on time for all the classes and at least 90% attendance is required to get the certificate. If you miss any class time (except an emergency), the missed classes must be completed at extra cost to the student and according to the teachers availability.

Its requested to maintain your accommodation and common areas of the retreat clean and high degree of personal hygiene. Green Yoga India maintains high standards of cleanliness.

Welcome to the land of white sands, bright sun, sparkling waters and wavering palm trees. The most beautiful state of India offers a perfect environment for the yoga practitioners. Tropical weather and multi-cultural atmosphere has attracted the tourist of all world to this pearl bounded by the Arabian Sea in Western India. Goa was originally a Portuguese colony before 1961. You can still feel some of the Portuguese architectural heritage and some Portuguese influence in Goan cuisine.

Imagine yourself practicing yoga overlooking the ocean, imagine your breath is becoming one with the sound of the waves when you are meditating, imagine yourself lying on the white sand and becoming one with the nature, feel the 5 elements of the nature merging in your body and mind. We will be based in 7000 square meters space in the Palolem road. The space is perfect for the practice of yoga: quiet, peaceful and full of Palm trees, fruit trees and flowers. Our place will be made entirely with bamboo materials. We are very near the Palolem beach.

A great deal of care has to be taken when it comes to preparing food. In Green Yoga India, chosen are the foods as per the requirements of the yoga practitioners. Keeping in mind the nutritional values and following the guidelines of Ayurvedic science, they have prepared a wide array of sattavic food which satisfies not only the taste of tongue but also the soul and mind.

Visit the different beaches and places of your interest. Palolem market, Palolem beach, Agonda beach, and Talpoba beach to name a few. You might also be interested in going to the Galgibaga turtle nest or even the fresh water lagoon at Khola beach. Dabolim Airport or Goa International Airport is around one and a half hour away from Patnem. You can reach Green Yoga India retreat by yourself; most convenient is to book a prepaid taxi from the airport counter. Prices will be around 1300 to 1500 INR.

The closest railway stations to Palolem are Margao on the Konkan Railway and Canacona. Margao is 40 minutes away and costs 600 to 700 INR in a taxi. Canacona is just 5-minute drive away from Palolem and the journey costs around 50 to 100 INR in an auto rickshaw.

I guess no matter where you'll do this kind of an intensive course, it will be challenging both physically and mentally, at the end it's up to you what kind of experience you'll live. Don't expect miracles food- and hygiene-wise. Teachers were great all in their own ways and the rest of the staff very kind and helpful, spent my funniest Christmas ever here learning some Bollywood moves. The first days it was hard for me to settle, but the staff, teachers and students were all so nice and sweet... it felt like one big family! The beaches are close, only a 10-minute ride with the bike to Palolem or Patnem. So you always have time to escape and chill out for a bit. The teachers know what they are talking about and the staff is always ready to receive questions or whatever comes to mind, and they will be more than happy to help you out.     "Currently, I am attending the 200 hours yoga teacher course in Green Yoga. Albeit I do train a lot back home, I am a yoga beginner - lacking the flexibility and the general knowledge and vocabulary. The course is structured in a thought through way. It provides a good overview of all yoga arts, history but also philosophical and physical (anatomy, digestion, etc) aspects of it. 360 degrees of yoga - this was the key to go for it. Yoga teachers: Alan, Ria, Anu, Fabian are absolutely amazing and competent. The team on the ground, in charge for the administrative and organizational (Prateek and Manish) issues are very competent, nice and friendly. They organized a pick-up service from the airport and friendly welcomed me in Goa. The food provided (breakfast, lunch, dinner) is very delicious, healthy and vegetarian and it varies every day. The location is distanced from Palolem - which is good as this helps your concentration. There are enough bikes we can use to reach the beach during our time off (10-minute ride or 20 minutes walking distance). The group of students is truly international. Within a group of 34 students, we are 21 nationalities from all over the world - very healthy, inspiring and happy."
