Green Tara Yoga Retreat invites you to escape from your everyday life into solitude. Reconnect with yourself, your breath and your intuition. This all-inclusive retreat is meant for solo travelers or for a solo trailer and a friend/partner. Each retreat, each experience, will be specifically designed to meet your personal practice and fitness level. All are welcome.
The downstairs portion of our home will be yours to relax in. You have a private room with a queen size bed and your own bath. We have a meditation hall with a lovely fountain that you are welcome to use anytime. The solarium attached to the kitchen is where we will take your meals and is a wonderful place for contemplation as you sip on a cup of tea. Our yoga studio is located just a few yards from the house. Besides the silks and hammocks, tibetan singing bowls and a djembe are available if you would like to indulge in some Bhakti yoga.
Aerial yoga is for all ages and all abilities. It allows you to explore, refine, and advance traditional asana both in the air and on the ground. Using a soft, fabric aerial hammock suspended from the ceiling, you’ll explore new and traditional yoga postures with your body weight partially or fully supported. This allows you to expand flexibility, increase range of motion, build strength, lengthen the spine, and relax the nervous system. Never more than a few feet off the ground, you’ll let go into gravity and be held in the hammock. This is a time to be playful and challenge yourself!
Yin yoga is a restorative practice where you will hold each pose for three to five minutes. The yoga swing will be suspended close to the ground to support you as you move slowly through the postures. This is a time to realign the body, center the mind and re-connect with your breath.
Cocooned in silk, gently floating above the earth, relax into a guided meditation.
Moving at half the speed as you would on land, SUP yoga is a practice of breath, core, and concentration. Standing up on a paddle board gives you a unique perspective of both the water and the horizon as you breath in fresh air, soak up vitamin D, and enjoy the natural landscape.
From time to time, at the discretion of the boys, Cat yoga will be offered free of charge.
