After the guided tour of the ancient citadel, the next stop is the UNESCO World Heritage city of Cusco where the charming and quaint accommodation awaits us at a hotel rebuilt from a former colonial home offering modern comforts with cozy rooms, wifi and dcor that highlights Cuscos illustrious history. Yoga classes will be hosted a short walk away in a space offering us the opportunity to connect with the local culture and energy of this amazing city.

Accommodation is on a twin share basis. If you are traveling alone, you will be paired with another traveler in the group of the same gender. A single supplement tour option is available.

Day 1: Cusco and Sacred Valley

Begin with a pick-up in Cusco from the airport or your location, and journey directly into the Sacred Valley where you will be hosted for three nights in peaceful and relaxing accommodations. Enjoy an evening yoga class with a focus on breath as you acclimatize to this fresh mountain region and appreciate the serenity of the Sacred Valley for your first night under the Andean stars.

Day 2 - 3: Sacred Valley

Enjoy days of discovery with local cultural sights and blissful experiences after early morning yoga classes and delicious breakfasts to begin the days events. Youll take a journey in this region to several locations to delight and lift your senses. Explore the Pisac ruins which are some of the finest and largest in the entire valley and shop in the Pisac market.

You'll also travel to the community of Amaru, where you will learn about Andean life and a community-based initiative of traditional weaving techniques for a shared lunch with the project owners. Weaving has always been important to the cultural identity of the local communities in the southern Andes of Peru, and experience an overview of the traditional textile techniques on a tour of colorful discovery.

Tour highlights also include a visit to Moray, a unique Inca site that was believed to be an agricultural research center and formed by concentric, circular terraces that provide a large difference in temperature from top to bottom and amaze at the natural abundance and beauty of the region. Learn about the interesting agricultural techniques of the Incas and witness some stunning visuals of the natural terrain.

Your days in the Sacred Valley will also include a visit to the salt pools of Maras. These pre-Inca salt pools have been worked for centuries, and are fed by an underground stream to produce pink salt for export and provide the back-drop for some pretty amazing photos.

Evenings will be spent at the accommodation with gentle and rejuvenating yoga classes and delicious meals to relax in the serenity of the day and enjoy calm evenings in the stunning light of the Sacred Valley sunsets.

Day 4: Ollantaytambo and Aguas Calientes

Wake up in the Sacred Valley with some sun salutations in your morning yoga class before a local visit of the town of Ollantaytambo, the only remaining town laid out to its original Inca design. Visit the archaeological site and enjoy a local lunch with time to wander the narrow streets lined with water channels that have been flowing since the time of the Inca.

In the afternoon, take a train to the town of Aguas Calientes, at the foot of Machu Picchu, in the heartland of the Sacred Valley for your early morning visit. Youll spend the night at this mountain town before the visit to the famous Incan ruins.

Day 5 - 7: Machu Picchu and Cusco

Rise with the sun and journey up to Machu Picchu and begin a complete guided tour of the Inca citadel. Enjoy some time at this magnificent site to walk around, climb the Sungate, and experience spectacular views of the surrounding valleys and mountains. In the afternoon, return to Aguas Calientes and take an afternoon train to Cusco arriving after nightfall.

Cusco is a famous colonial town surrounded by the vast Andes and dotted with sacred sites on its horizons. Start the day with a morning yoga class with spectacular views and a healthy breakfast before the city tour with a local guide to visit the cultural hotspots of the Incan dynasty blended with modern tradition in this UNESCO world heritage city.

The city tour includes such highlights to appreciate fine architecture, Incan stone engineering, artists galleries, and the blend of 17th century Spanish cultural infusion mixed with Andean iconography during a city tour exploring the charm of this Peruvian mountain oasis. Enjoy one more full day of this charming town and your last evening together before departure the following day.
