A villa in Cetinje will be your home during his retreat. Enjoy the process of taking stock, reconnect with your emotions, and to each other in a lovely homely and comfortable house villa, with a roof top yoga space.

Green Culture Montenegro Yoga Retreat Program

With one week of twice a day yoga and meditation sessions along with three day trips into nature, and fresh, traditional, local and homemade vegetarian and vegan food, you are sure to feel extremely relaxed, build mental, physical and emotional strength, and reignite your passion for nature and well-being gaining clarity and focus whilst having fun meeting like-minded people.

What makes this yoga retreat even more special is that it allows you to gather and meet a great group of like-minded people who care about this planet and the only home all people share and help further push the green culture mission. By participating in this retreat, you will be contributing to a bigger mission beyond all of the people.

This project consists of four pillars that bring a holistic approach to finding sustainable long-term solutions to the climate change challenge of our planet faces. Those are green culture, green business, green science, and green philosophy.

Your yogic retreat experience will be provided by Chelsey from InnerSense Guru. InnerSense Guru is all about becoming just as in touch with your intuition, your emotions, your inner voice (inner sense) as you are so you can become your own teacher (guru). What is right for one person might not be right for another, so the greatest teacher is you! By learning to truly listen to yourself, you know what is right for you whether that’s in a yoga class or in everyday life.

Chelsey will be offering her main two styles of yoga; Sivananda yoga a traditional form of Hatha yoga as well as InnerFlow yoga, Chelsey’s own fusion of yoga styles similar to a Vinyasa flow. Chelsey’s classes are accessible to all. The classes on the retreat will break down the yoga sequences so you can focus and understand the different parts of a full sequence. Each day, you will work with a different chakra and intention as well as the overarching intention for the retreat about reconnecting with nature.

Seva is the Sanskrit word for “service”, so it is a “selfless service”, and is the essential ingredient of spiritual devotion and a core part of yoga sadhana as a primary means of purifying the mind and ego in preparation for deeper yoga practice. It also allows you to contribute to the larger collaborative community that makes up the sangha at any yoga experience.

Daily opportunities to do Seva can involve anything from working in the garden, cleaning any of the common spaces, serving meals, helping in the kitchen or in the office. True Karma yoga or Seva is done without any expectation for return, without attachment to its results and the participation is pure of one's own will.

Typical daily schedule

  • 07:00 Warm water with lemon and meditation
  • 07:30 Morning yoga session
  • 09:00 Breakfast and Karma yoga
  • 10:30 Free time to book a treatment, or to explore the area
  • 13:00 Delicious home-prepared lunch followed by Karma yoga
  • 14:30 Free time to relax, read, book a treatment or to explore the area
  • 17:30 Evening yoga session
  • 19:00 Light dinner followed by Karma yoga and free evening

Included excursions

Enjoy three excursions to areas of outstanding natural beauty, such as mountain, lake, river, and the sea, included in the package but optional to attend. Please inform Green Culture before arriving, so they can arrange the transport accordingly.

Chelsey
Chelsey has been teaching for three years now, mainly in Leeds Yorkshire, United Kingdom, after completion of her multi-style yoga course with Trimurti Yoga school in the north of India. Chelsey will be offering her main two styles of yoga; Sivananda yoga a traditional form of Hatha yoga as well as InnerFlow yoga, Chelsey’s own fusion of yoga styles similar to Vinyasa flow. Chelsey’s classes are accessible to all. The classes on the retreat will break down the yoga sequences so we can focus and understand the different parts of a full sequence.

Retreat location

This retreat takes place in the lovely sunny, old capital of Cetinje, up in the mountains of Montenegro, but within a short reach to the Lake Skadar and the ever so amazing Adriatic Sea. Rich with natural resources, lush vegetation, mountains, lakes, and rivers that meet the sea, all of it within a short reach, Montenegro is a perfect place for a yoga retreat.

During the retreat, you will be served three daily traditional and locally sourced organic homemade vegetarian and vegan food that will make you feel extremely relaxed. The breakfast will be self-served and light lunch and dinner for detoxifying purposes. There will be also unlimited free water and freshly squeezed juices in a slow juicer and smoothies from available seasonal ingredients, available on request. Food on day trips will be out in restaurants which you can freely arrange yourselves. Prices are relatively cheap compared to the UK.

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 24% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
