Example of Itinerary

Day 1: Crete - Out of the Blue Capsis Elite Resort

Arrival and then transfer to the hotel, at the time of check-in you'll have free time to rest and get to know the wonderful facilities of the hotel. Take the opportunity to meditate in some corner of the hotel enjoying the gentle breeze of the sea. If you have not booked your yoga classes in advance, you could use this day to coordinate the schedule that suits you.

Day 2: Spinalonga - Elounda - Ag. Nikolaos excursion on regular basis (in English -including entrance fee of Spinaloga and boat ticket )

Meditation and Hatha yoga class indoors or outdoors in the morning (depending on the weather), enjoy a delicious and healthy breakfast. At the indicated time, you will be picked up and taken along the picturesque northeast coast through the gorge of St George, reaching the small fishing village of Elounda. Today Elounda is a popular holiday resort, often visited by celebrities for the luxurious white beaches. From there, take the boat to the small island of Spinalonga.

The history and the culture of Spinalonga are laced with different diverse strands of history. In Ancient Greek times, it served as a natural guard for the city of Olous; later it was used as a hide-out for Saracen pirates, turned into a fortress by the Venetians, and later settled by the Turks.

After your guided tour of the island, escape to the small sandy pirate bay of Kolokitha, where the boat will be anchored. Swim in the crystal clear waters. Later the boat returns to Elounda, where you take the bus to go to the picturesque town of Agios Nikolaos. Enjoy shopping, exploring, and marveling at the bottomless lake there. Return to the hotel.

Day 3: Guided tour of Knossos and Lassithi Plateau on regular basis ( in English)

Start your day with meditation and breakfast at the hotel. At the agreed time, you'll depart to enjoy a guided visit to the most famous and popular of all the attractions in Crete, the Palace of Knossos. Join your expert guide on a journey back of 5000 years into myths and legends and learn secrets of the oldest civilization in Europe, the Minoan.

Enjoy a guided tour of the historical site that covers an area of 22.000m2 on 5 floors with 1.300 rooms, hear all about the legendary labyrinth and the Minotaur (the half-human monster). This day brings history and legend back to life and is a must-see on any visit to Crete.

After our visit to Knossos, our first stop on the scenic route towards central Crete is the Monastery of "Kera Kardiotissa". It is dedicated to Virgin Mary; it is run by nuns and is locally known as Little Lourdes, with people making pilgrimages to pray for relief from their sins.

Then we drive south and reach the Plateau of Lassithi, which may have been the crater of an ancient volcano. It numbers nearly ten thousand windmills. The Plateau is a wonderfully cool and fertile area where you will see small towns and a very warm welcome. Here we will have a short stop to visit the Monastery "Vidiani" which is dedicated to Zoodohos Pigi (The life-giving spring). The monastery hosts a small natural history museum, in collaboration with the University of Crete.

After the lunch break (not included) in one of the local villages in Lassithi, we will visit the Dicti Cave where Zeus, the father of Greek Gods, was born.

While crossing the villages of the Plateau, we pay a short visit to a traditional potter's factory, seeing ancient ceramic art, which completes today more than 8.000 years of history. Leaving the Plateau we will see the views down to Pediada Plain which is truly magnificent. A short photo stop will complete the day in a perfect way.

Day 4: Relaxation day and spa day

Meditation and Hatha yoga class indoors or outdoors in the morning (depending on the weather). Afterward, enjoy a delicious and healthy breakfast. Day off! This is the time to relax, beach, pool, spa, massages, or any other activity you may want. Take advantage of the hotel facilities and the treatments that it offers in its wonderful spa or you can also make an optional excursion such as visiting a vineyard and learn about the history of wines in Crete.

Day 5: Luxury cruise to Dias island (seafood lunch included onboard )

Meditation and Hatha yoga class indoors or outdoors in the morning (depending on the weather). Afterward, enjoy a delicious and healthy breakfast. and Discover the unique destination of Dia island. You will unwind, swim and dive into the crystal clear waters, explore the ruins of an ancient port, take a walk on the island or just relax on deck and enjoy the summer sun. Lunch will be served on board.

Dia is an uninhabited island north of Heraklion surrounded by small rocky inlets and it is only accessible by boat. In the southern part of the island, there are 4 quiet bays: the gulf of Agios Georgios, which is where boats usually moor, the gulf of Kapari, the bay of Panagia, and the gulf of Agrielia. The island is of great archaeological interest as it was populated during Minoan times and near the bay of Agios Georgios, a harbor settlement was established.

The undersea discoveries of Jacques Yves Cousteau in 1974-5, provided evidence suggesting that there stood one of the biggest and most important ports in the entire island of Crete. The harbor appears to have sunk due to the destruction caused in 1450 bc by the eruption of the volcano of Santorini and visitors are able to see remains of it if they dive with a mask.

Day 6: Crete departure (transfer included)

Start the day with breakfast. Private transfer to the airport or port of Crete is included in your program. You also have the possibility to add nights in Athens or any other destination in Greece that you prefer (with an additional cost, not included in the package price, you will be happy to help you with everything you need, so that your stay continues to be a dream come true reality).
