Day by day you will learn and grow with the support of caring trainers, therapists and guides. The initial first days is about decompressing and de-stressing, followed by a clear sense that toxins are starting to flush out of your body. By the fourth and fifth day you will feel and see a more youthful you; clearer skin, brighter eyes, several pounds lighter and most importantly, you will have a deep sense of accomplishment and wellbeing
The second wing of the Grails Springs Bancroft inn opened in 2001 and would be described as modern classic with renaissance-style accents, four-poster carved beds, gothic windows, rich tapestries and draperies from Belgium. Each of these rooms are spacious with propane fireplaces and walk-out balconies overlooking the lake, stream or gardens. Luxurious bathrooms, lux fixtures and granite top counters, deep soaking tubs and most with rain showers.
Hatha Yoga: A gentle yoga combined with breath awareness and a state of mindfulness that is intended to witness our thoughts and emotions - that connects us with spirit and really affects change in our lives.
Yoga Flow: Opening, stretching, breathing, moving in rhythm to your vital life force is a powerful way to experience yoga. With grace & strength, creating meditation in motion, you will flow in the present moment. In this class we will begin by connecting to breath with a pranayama practice - Nadi Sodhana, equalizing and balancing the flow of Prana in the body. We then move gently and with fluid motion from asana to asana awakening your Chi -linking breath and movement. To bring completion to the practice we will rest in Shavanasa for 5 minutes as we are surrounded by beautifully sung words of a Sanskrit prayer, uplifting, embracing and transporting us to a celestial place of deep clam and bliss.
Candlelight Meditation (seasonal): Join us for a serene and special experience of light, breath and gentle movement & evening meditation.
Yin Yoga: Ready to take our Chi deeper still, slowly we will begin a short practice of Yin Yoga. These postures of stillness promote growth, clear energetic blockages, and enhance circulation.

A long time dream, we have recently partnered with 'Deep Roots Gardens' to build new, sustainable, edible gardens for our kitchen. The aim is not only to provide fresh, organic, seasonal vegetables for our menus but to also provide educational classes on growing, harvesting and preserving food for all seasons to our guests. Classes begin spring 2013.
Our sacred labyrinth is designed after the Chartres Cathedral labyrinth in France built in 1201. Some interpretations surrounding the labyrinth is that it represents the solar system, the chakra system or it is a symbol of the soul. In October 2012, we were honored with a visit from Venerable Sonam Rinpoche who cleansed and blessed the land in the centre of the labyrinth with a traditional Buddhist ceremony. People around the world use the labyrinth as a tool for contemplation and healing.
Originally used for logging and hunting, Grail Springs transformed these one hundred plus acres into a well-groomed trail system where animals and people can flourish together in harmony. In 2010 Grail Springs added two forest eco-tabins as a compliment to their earth-committment and to provide unique eco-experience to those who are looking to connect more deeply with nature. Available May to October.
Our family of Rocky Mountain Horses add a special presence here at Grail Springs. Known for thier therapeutic effect on the human condition our gentle herd of five have been known to assist and heal many of our guests through simple encounters out at the paddock, by attending one of our Horse Wisdom classes or being more adventurous and booking a one-hour horseback ride. Living in harmony with nature, the property is also home to deer, loons, geese, blue herons, fox, hare, pheasants and the occasional moose just to name a few.
Planet Earth, much like our human body, has a complex subtle energy field; Geomancy is the Ancient applied science of balancing subtle energy fields within architecture and the landscape. Grail Springs sits in the Canadian Rockshield, the oldest exposed rock on the planet. Rich in massive deposits of quartz crystal where visitors can hike to the propertys own crystal-crop, Grail Springs has committed to the observance of this ancient art.
