This level 1 Power yoga teacher training program in Belize combines the transformative level 1 teacher training curriculum with a breathtaking location. During the program, you will be staying at the beautiful Ak'Bol Resort. Located on Ambergris Caye, Belize’s largest island. The resort offers a gorgeous beachfront location and all of the amenities you need to have a great week in paradise. You can choose between thatched cabanas and village rooms.

You will begin each day with a morning meditation beach walk followed by a healthy breakfast of local and fresh prepared foods and juices. From there, you will practice in a palapa over the Caribbean Sea and then dive deep into the art and science of teaching yoga. Lunch is served beachfront, again freshly prepared using local ingredients that will energize your bodies. Each afternoon, there will be down time to relax and soak in the scenery.

You will meet again over the sea for a beautiful afternoon practice followed by fun and inspiring group activities. Dinner is served in a rooftop dining area overlooking the sunset at sea. After dinner, you meet again in the special palapa to reflect and wrap up your evening. Then, you nestle in for the night and start each day refreshed and renewed!

There will be one longer afternoon break to take advantage of the sights and beautiful offerings of Belize. Choose to swim with the sharks, explore downtown San Pedro, or just to relax quietly at the resort.

The destination program is specifically designed to provide you with not only an efficient and proven way to build a strong yoga foundation that you can use for teaching, but also an incredible experience to recharge your body, mind, and soul. This program does count toward a 200-hour yoga teacher training.

This teacher training course will be held on the tranquil north side of Belize’s smallest island, Ambergris Caye, just a quarter mile from the second smallest Barrier Reef in the world and a bike ride away from the old fishing village of San Pedro.

    "I had a wonderful experience in Belize. The training was at the AKbol yoga resort an amazing location for yoga or just for holiday. My suggestion will be to book a cabanas because they are more comfortable then the barrack. The food is great and we all loved the carrot cake!!! Go Yoga is a great introduction to yoga teaching. Its a very intensive (condense) programme but its a good way to overfly the yoga teaching. Consider that, 100h training might not be enough but you can always take the 100h part 2 training to complete your 200h. Also, this was a power yoga training so make sure you pick the right type of yoga for youand be prepare to do lots of fitness! Overall, its been a great experience for me that I will remember all my life."

    "I am in love with this yoga studio. It has definitely become my calm and relaxing place to go during a crazy week or to break up a busy weekend. The staff has been fabulous. I have taken classes by Addie and Jillian, mostly due to scheduling, and they are fabulous. They both have their own style but both are very effective and I leave both relaxed and my butt totally kicked! It is amazing. Jenny subbed one of my classes and I am not sure if she is usually at the Powell location or at another one of their locations, but she was fabulous. I actually took a spin class by her at (former) Urban Active and she equally kicked my booty in yoga. Glorious! The only issue I have encountered are other students not respecting the room and its place of quietness. But that is not the studio's issue. People just need to be more considerate of other's practice.I have recommended this studio to many friends and I usually get a coupon in the mail every month or so for a free class for new clients which I like to pass on to friends to join me. Pricing is great and cheaper if you sign up online, which is very user friendly. They often have 5 USD classes, which is a bonus if you want to throw in an extra class in the week on the cheap. Only great things to say! Stop by."

    "This place is pretty amazing and has classes offered for a good price. I have attended numerous classes at both the Worthington and Powell locations and enjoyed the Powell location best. The atmosphere is really calm inside and Addie is a great instructor. I attend her hot yoga class and love it. She always tries to add different positions each week. It is always a workout and I always feel relaxed and well centered afterwards. There are a lot of different class offerings and instructors, so if you do not like one class, definitely try a different one. They all have a different flow and ambiance to it. Overall, I really enjoy taking classes here!"

    "I was a bit hesitant at my first Go Yoga class when I learned that there was at least one attendee that had never taken a yoga class before. While I'm not yoga-goddess, I was afraid that the class was going to be remedial and not challenging at all. Boy was I wrong.I've been taking yoga a couple years now, most recently at Burn in Gahanna. I enjoyed the level that the instructors there taught to, but had become bored with the same routines and music. At Go Yoga, not only was I physically challenged, I learned at least one new pose. There were some options provided for moves and poses that could have made it more strenuous, but I opted not to attempt these as I was sweating enough. I liked the fact that the course was an hour and twenty minutes. I am used to one-hour classes that often leave me feeling short-changed on the shivasina. I felt the added time really allowed for a good warm up and cool down.The location, New Albany, is pretty good. Not as convenient as other options which is Gahanna, but parking is easy and I have my choice of several routes to get to the studio. I also like that there are two other facilities available, one of which is near my work. The one negative was the fact that it was not a dedicated studio. The room was bright. I initially had trouble figuring out if I was in the right place, and I foresee the room being cramped when more people attend. But again, that's only the New Albany facility.The instructor was incredible. I liked that she did not physically go around and fix positioning, at least for me. I didn't notice that she did so to others, either. I've been to classes where the instructors are hands on and some where we pair up with other attendees for partner-assisted poses. That really makes me uncomfortable. The instructor was friendly, loud enough to hear, encouraging, and overall a really good teacher. I would highly recommend her for all levels.So if you're looking for a place to take yoga, regardless of the level you need, I'd recommend Go Yoga!"

    "I am still a fan of GoYoga. They have updated their Powell studio, and now it's twice the size and even more calm and beautiful inside. They have also added some new props, like eye pillows for savasana, which I really appreciate. I love the dim lighting for relaxation classes. They did add one Yin class, but I wish they would have it for an entire class instead of half a class. I am glad they added another relaxation class to the schedule and made the classes more relaxing. Hopefully they'll have a restorative class one day. Addie is still the best teacher there!"

    "I love GoYoga. Scheduling is really easy and everyone is very friendly. I almost always have a great experience. I love the variation in the levels and types of classes offered and I especially love Addie and Anne H. Addie is the sweetest person and she works you pretty hard, but she always manages to do so in a way which inspires confidence, peace, and positive energy. Anne is a powerhouse. She plays fun music and she works you super hard, but always encourages smiling and laughter. If I could take her classes every day of the week I'd be incredibly fit!I wish there were more classes that began at 7:00 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. on weekdays at Powell, because it is impossible for me to get there for a class starting earlier than 7:00 p.m. on a weeknight. If they offered more evening classes, I would take them in a heartbeat!"
