During this retreat, you will stay either in a shared or a private room in three and four-star hotels and ashrams.

During this retreat, you will experience a different location around India every day. You will enjoy daily yoga practices along with Hanuman Chalisa workshops. You will have the opportunity to visit sacred places in Sri Krishna, Radha, Shiva, Buddha, Hanuman, and Ram and Sita. Also, you will get to know sacred people that dedicate their lives to the divine in its many forms and some of the greatest living yogis and masters of the world.

Temple etiquette

  • Always shower and wear clean clothes before entering a temple
  • Always remove your shoes prior to entering a temple
  • Occasionally, a temple will collect and store your shoes in a special area
  • Taking pictures in temples is almost always forbidden so please abide by temple rules
  • In many temples, mobile phones and cameras are not allowed so please respect this policy
  • Always use your right hand to accept Prasad, when touching anything, or when accepting gifts
  • You will find different statues representing different gods, it is common to walk around these idols as a form of worship, go in front of the idol, and touch the feet of the idol with your right hand as another form of worship.
  • Men and women must always sit a part in the temples
  • Be respectful of God and the Gods
  • Leave food and improper manners outside
  • Do not enter the shrines (special areas inside the temples) without invitation
  • Do not sit with your feet pointing toward the deities or another person
  • Refrain from gossip and worldly talk
  • Turn off or mute/silence your cell phone
  • Treat the priests with respect and obey visitor signs
  • Men and women should avoid hugging and other demonstrations of affection

This retreat will be held at six different places around India, Kochi, Coimbatore, Thiruvanamalai, Pondicherry, Auroville, and Chennai.

During this retreat, you will be served three daily vegetarian meals per day starting with breakfast on arrival day and finishing with breakfast on departure day.

During your free time, you may enjoy chanting practices or visit ancient temples to meet yogis.
