Yoga Alliance E-RYT 200 (Yoga)

Gail is Yoga Alliance E-RYT 200 registered for over 17 years and an excess of 2500 hours teaching experience. She has studied many styles of yoga and believes a yoga teacher’s path is like that of the individual practicing yoga. It's an ongoing process, a path to travel, not a destination. Her passion is to teach in a way that builds body awareness, educates people about their body, and explain how the things you do in your daily life can create stiffness, illness, injury, and how through simple practices you all have the opportunity to do something for yourself to create positive change.

I joined Gail's yoga classes a month ago, so I only had a brief introduction to her teaching and no idea what to expect from her retreat. It turned out to be all I could have hoped for, and more. Throughout the 5 days we were there, increasingly, her knowledge, expertise and dedication shone through. She guided us, encouraged us and gave us insights into the possibilities of how the practice is such an enhancement to life in general, and personally. The venue, Monestevole, was perfect - surrounded by mountains, very old, very charismatic, and very peaceful. The food was simply delicious, with vegetables picked from the extensive gardens. All the people working there, couldn't do enough to make our stay a memorable one, and that is exactly what it was -memorable. I've come home feeling fitter, healthier and ready to deal with the hurly-burly of whatever life brings. Congratulations, Gail --and of course, Monestevole!

I began my yoga journey with Gail in 2001 after the birth of my 1st child as I wanted to get back in shape. I soon found the benefits of yoga were far beyond the physical. Gail's classes gave me an insight into the power of yoga for the mind, body and spirit. Her style was always intuitive and varied. During a few difficult times in my life, my yoga class was my sanctuary. Sadly I had to stop my classes with Gail after moving away in 2010 but my journey has continued. I have recently qualified as a yoga teacher myself. I am grateful to Gail for sharing her passion for yoga - it is a passion which continually evolves and which I hope I can share with my own students. Thank you Gail.

I am 78 and have been doing yoga with Gail for 13 years, she has altered our sessions to enable me to keep fit and supple in spite of age related problems. Without her help I would not be able to keep my golf going to a reasonable high level. Thank you Gail.

Gail was my first yoga teacher back in 1999 and I spent 5 wonderful years under her guidance. Her classes became an essential part of my week, my body needed the physical component and very quickly I was experiencing the more subtle effects of yoga. Gail's anatomy and kinesiology knowledge means she can guide you delicately into poses and help you discover how the poses can fit your body. She is a compassionate and empathetic teacher, always willing to listen and offer advice. She supported me through my own teacher training for which I am truly grateful. Her classes have a neat balance of learning and fun which makes them accessible for everyone. If I still lived in the area I would be attending her classes for sure!
