You will be guided through a reflective experience of external and internal observation to prepare you for a style of invigorating Vinyasa Flow. This retreat will leave you feeling more confident and inspired to keep practicing long after you return home. The group’s number will be kept relatively small so that students can enjoy more tailored guidance from Rina.
This Mykonos resort is a quiet luxury gem (part of the Design Hotels) firmly rooted in the spirit and style of its setting. The essence of Cycladic architecture and self-care transcends the entire place, from its pure white forms to the warm wooden details and its long sea-gazing 360° pool.
This is the absolute ‘let go’ place awarded for excellence. From the very moment you set foot in the hotel, the warmth of the staff and the simplicity of the design invite you to leave everything behind and just let yourself be.
Each room has its own balcony offering an undisrupted view of the Aegean Sea or the infinity pool. A feel-good all-day restaurant, a fancy pool bar, and the awarded restaurant of ‘Reeza’ cover all different kinds of tastes and appetites offering a holistic Greek culinary experience.
This is the most inspiring yoga setting in the Aegean. The shala is located by the infinity pool, overlooking the whole of Mykonos and Delos island. Its floor-to-ceiling glass windows allow the light to wash the space while protecting it from the elements and the famous Myconian wind. On a good sunny day, the practice can happen with the front windows pulled to the side which creates an even more breathtaking essence of the sea breeze. Airy curtains are hung on the perimeter of the room to create a sense of privacy and keep the sacredness within. This is the place to immerse in your practice while experiencing all shades of blue on every sun salutation.
Rina’s classes, while technically traditional, are also fun-loving and non-competitive with Sun Salutations, standing postures, leg balancing, arm balancing, backbends, hip openers, and all-level inversions. Combining breath with movement, we will focus on developing the core from within; weaving philosophy and the physical together to ground ourselves in higher ideals and deeper into our bodies. You will learn to observe and better serve yourself and others without feeling depleted. By implementing these techniques you will feel uplifted, relaxed, ignited, and ready to live your fullest life right now! Because after all, one’s fullest life is when one is serving.
Rina has been teaching yoga in English and Spanish for over 20 years and has been a featured presenter at Wanderlust Festivals, Yoga Journal Conferences, Kripalu Center, Himalayan Institute, Omega Institute, Yogaville, Sedona Yoga Festival, Telluride Yoga Festival, and Mammoth Yoga Festival. Rina is also the best-selling author of “The Yoga Mind: 52 Essential Principles of Yoga Philosophy to Deepen Your Practice”.
Mykonos is a Greek island, part of the Cyclades, lying between Tinos, Syros, Paros, and Naxos. The island has an area of 85.5 square kilometers and rises to an elevation of 341 meters (1,119 feet) at its highest point. The excellent central location of the resort offers full autonomy to its guests as it’s just a 10-minute walk away from a beautiful sandy beach and a 15-minute ride from Mykonos town. The resort’s proximity to the sandy beach of Agios Stefanos and Chora makes it an ideal location where one can enjoy both the serenity of a peaceful place and the island’s vibrancy. By the end of your retreat, you’ll know that you’ve discovered a personal hideaway in Mykonos.
