Program

Futurehippie is an ongoing retreat. This allows you to start your journey whenever it suits you. From a three days experience up to one-month stay, you can be with Futurehippie to deepen your practice and reconnect to yourself. Please plan your arrival between Monday and Saturday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. The day you arrive is your first day; the day you’ll leave us, you can enjoy the program until late. Please respect that we don’t do check-in’s and check out’s on Sundays to give our staff and us a day to rest.

The program includes 2 Yoga and meditation classes from Monday to Saturday. On the schedule, you’ll also find community classes, dance classes, movie nights or a book night. Sundays we recommend reflecting, relax or work on your self-practice.

There’s no program, lunch or dinner on Sundays but you’re welcome to use our facilities and enjoy breakfast with us. In case of an emergency, there’s always one person around or somebody to call.

The full schedule and the supportive energy from a spiritual, international community as well as qualified teachers invite you to dive deep into your practice. In between, you’ll find time to work, study, chill or to explore the island. There might be days where you just wanna stay at future hippie and relax, study or practice. On other days you might be more energetic and are up to explore. In that case, we will provide you with information and contacts to tour guides.

Retreat location

Welcome to Koh Samui. The tropical island is one of the most popular destinations in Thailand and has a lot to offer. Koh Samui is Thailand’s second largest island after Phuket. With sandy beaches and tropical lush trees atop scenic mountains, your trip will surely be a memorable experience! The warm climate, the sea air, the slow pace of life and the tranquil natural environment make the west coast of Koh Samui the perfect yoga destination.

Taling Ngam is a small fishing village on the south west of Koh Samui. It is away from the main tourist areas and very quiet. If you prefer an excursion more hustle and bustle you should go to Chaweng Beach. In Lamai Beach, you’ll find a more relaxed atmosphere but lots of nice shops, restaurants, and markets. Bophut’s Fisherman’s Village in the north is also worth to visit.

Koh Samui has generally three different seasons, hot season, dry season, and rainy season. December to February is usually the dry season. It occurs some refreshing wind or breeze and you should enjoy a lot of sunshine at this time of the year. March to August it is dry, sunny and hot. In May it might start to rain, but these showers are mostly not lasting very long. The rainy seasons goes from September until November. In September there are still many sunny days. Rainy season or monsoon season does not mean, that it will be raining at all times, but rainfalls and thundershowers are very common.

Koh Samui has a lot to offer. It's nice to go around the island and then come back to enjoy the silence under the Banyan tree or practice yoga. They also do community evenings one time a week.

How to get there

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

The most convenient way to get to Koh Samui is flying from Bangkok, Singapore, Phuket or Pattaya. There are over twenty flights a day from Bangkok alone. Once you arrived in Koh Samui it will take you around 60 minutes to futurehippie by taxi. It’s easy to get a taxi at the airport but you can also go by Navigo, which is a cheaper alternative.

Arrival by ferry

Alternatively, several ferries and catamarans run from Surat Thani or Don Sak on the Thai mainland. If you're traveling from Bangkok, it's a good idea to combine the ferry with a sleeper train from Hualumphong Station. Ferry times change frequently, though touts wait for arriving trains and buses in Surat to guide potential customers to their company. Long waits are common, so a degree of patience is necessary. Boats also connect to Koh Tao and Koh Phangan from Samui. Getting a ferry off the island is much easier, and most travel agents will have up-to-date schedules and fares. Approximately ten car ferries leave from Don Sak to Lipa Noi every day. Get there as early as possible and be prepared to wait for at least a couple of hours.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 25% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
