Funboard Center welcomes non watersports companions to join yoga classes. You can choose between a morning or late afternoon class during your stay on the beautiful Boracay Island, Aklan Province. It is one of the most favorite travel destinations in Philippines. If you prefer to join both classes, please do not hesitate to show up. Previous knowledge in yoga is not necessary so you don't have to worry about feeling like you're left behind.
During the retreat, you will be staying at Reef Retreat located on the beach with a kite school and windsurf school only 100 meters away, making Reef Retreat the perfect hotel for your holiday. Set in tranquil tropical gardens, Reef Retreat is built to European standards incorporating a tropical island feel.
You will start by a full power morning class at 08:00. The day will begin with a Dynamic Power yoga to awaken your body and mind as well as to activate your heart and blood circulation. The second class will begin in the afternoon at 16:00. After a long day, your practices will be focused on stretching and relaxation. Specially-chosen yoga poses should relieve your stress and tension in all stiff muscles. They will calm down your mind. On the closing session, you will celebrate together with a sunset cruise on a "Parow", a traditional Filipino sailing boat, around the island with a hearty Filipino barbecue on White Beach.
Simone is well-known as a windsurfing and kitesurfing instructor at Funboard Center. In recent years, she has also practiced different kinds of yoga techniques as a perfect adjustment for all watersports. Yoga will strengthen your muscles, flexibility, and calm down your mind. Well-prepared physic with clear mind will let you learn new moves easily and avoid any injuries on the water. She will offer custom-made yoga classes at all non-windy days.
Markus discovered the benefits of yoga in 2000 alongside the Tibetan healing movements. He received his teaching certificate in 2009 and he has been teaching yoga on the island of Boracay. Markus combines perfectly matched yoga poses to a harmonious and flowing sequence of movements. Markus teaches yoga classes and meditation in motion.
