Enjoy the sun, discover pristine beaches, and relish in the friendly environment while practicing yoga and meditation your way in paradise.

This Yoga Alliance teacher certification course is for anyone wanting to learn how to teach yoga in a confident, knowledgeable, and empowered way, as well as for students who would like to simply deepen their yoga practice with hands-on training in adjustments, alignment, sequence-planning, philosophy, and history. True yoga teaches you to expand consciousness and live in a life of beauty, presence, grace, and bliss.

You will learn in the traditional yogic methodology, which views yoga as a lifestyle, a science, and an art. This class offers a detailed and in-depth study of modern asanas with rich and colorful history and philosophy, as well as the lifestyle of yoga that offers balance and peace for life off the mat. You will learn, practice, and teach a wide range of yoga postures, fully grasping sequencing in Hatha and Vinyasa flows.

There is an ample opportunity to deepen your understanding of prana, healing, and spirituality, woven into the course with anatomy, sequence, and breath, all in a space that offers the multi-faceted teachings of yoga, while honoring and respecting all religious backgrounds and beliefs. This class is completed with an opportunity for extra study in energy healing and how to apply it directly to the work and life of a yoga teacher, as well the option of a raw, vegan or gluten free meal plan during your learning experience.

Throughout the training, you will learn in depth asana knowledge as well as anatomy and adjustments, how to develop your unique teaching gift, learn to "let go", kirtan, and chanting. You will also learn meditation techniques, physiology, pranayama (breathing techniques), study of the yoga sutras, teaching methodology, yogic lifestyle, and yoga philosophy.

The training runs from Monday to Friday at 07:00 to 17:00 with a one-hour lunch break. A typical day is that you will meet at 07:00 for morning meditation, homework coverage, and discussion. There will be a yoga class after. Work from the manual up until lunch. After lunch, you work on asanas (postures), sequencing, and practice teaching. You will end your day with some kirtan (group meditative singing) and chanting. If the weather permits, you will end your day at Bahia Honda, rated as one of the top ten beaches in America.
