Day 1

Arrive at San Jose any time. Transfer from the airport to your hotel in downtown San José. There are optional tours you can do if you arrive early, such as San José city tour, coffee plantation, Poás Volcano, and La Paz Waterfall Gardens.

Day 2

After a morning meet and greet over breakfast in a tropical garden, you'll ride through the scenic central highlands of Costa Rica to make your way to the towering peaks of the Talamanca mountain range to get to Rio Chirripo. After lunch at the lodge, convene for your first yoga practice with Colleen that can be followed by a dip in the pool, or some R&R before gathering for dinner.

Day 3

Sunrise yoga in the mountain rancho, nestled among wooded hills with a magnificent view of the tropical forest. After lunch, you’ve got a golden ticket to the world of artisan chocolate making with a workshop at a local organic chocolate farm. Later, join Colleen in a calming yoga session to ready yourself for a restful night's sleep.

Day 4

Sunrise yoga in the yoga rancho. After lunch, hike into the tropical forest to a dramatic mountain vista before heading back to the lodge to enjoy a calming rainforest release yoga session as the day cools. Optional tours available are: bird watching, coffee finca tour, horseback riding, chocolate tour, cloud forest hike, or dance lessons.

Day 5

After sunrise yoga and breakfast, bid farewell to the mountains and head south for the Osa Peninsula, lauded by National Geographic as "the most biologically intense place on Earth”, stopping midway for lunch and a chance to stretch our legs. After arriving to Ojo del Mar, settle in with a relaxing yoga session before dinner.

Day 6

Sunrise yoga on the yoga platform, set deep in the jungle, before hiking to magnificent King Louis Falls, for a refreshing rainforest dip. Head back to the lodge along trails and deserted beaches, accompanied only by scarlet macaws and monkeys in the trees overhead. Unwind with a Yin-Yang style yoga session before dinner.

Day 7

Today, you will head out in the direction of Corcovado National Park to participate in a half day of seva with a sea turtle conservation project. After returning and eating lunch, walk down to the lovely swimming beaches just west of the lodge. Relax with a Yin style yoga in the evening to prep you for a restful night.

Day 8

Bid adios to Ojo del Mar, and get an early start with a domestic flight back to San José.

"My husband and I met Melanie about a year ago, she was teaching at the Y. She left there and started her own studio. We continued to take yoga classes at the Y for a while, but Melanie had spoiled us. She is so passionate about yoga, and such a gifted teacher that we followed her to PeaceLab. That teaching gift allows her to teach best yoga principles to both beginner and advanced students, while simultaneously building a caring, non-judgmental community." website, edited
