During this retreat, you will stay in a cabin tent or teepee. There are an outdoor hot tub and pool, flush toilets, and hot showers. Fresh Adventures likes to call it comfort camping. There are also two doors and two separate areas for luggage to be kept, so it is very easy and comfortable to share a tent with someone. They pair two campers in a three-person tent to ensure there is lots of space, so you do not feel cramped. Your sleeping pads are second to none. They are nice and wide, and over six feet long to ensure you have plenty of space.

They inflate to three inches thick and you can opt to inflate it so it is firm or soft, depending on how you like it. The top of the mattress is a soft fabric to increase comfort as well. With these mattresses, you can sleep on rocks and roots and not feel a thing, but do not do that. It is common for first-time guests to be concerned that they will have a hard time camping, with sore backs, etc. They have actually never had someone on a camping tour that was uncomfortable and everyone has been pleasantly surprised at how comfortable they were while camping.

The retreat is designed to be the perfect introduction to camping for first-timers and also fun for veteran campers. They provide all the equipment and show you how to use it. If you have never set up a tent before, you will be a pro on the first night. All you really need is a thirst for adventure and a smile. You will have access to showers everyday of the tour and be able to soak in hot springs a few times on your tour too. You will also have access to flush toilets every day except for one day that has outhouses.

Daily itinerary

Day one - Into the mountains!

Fresh Adventures takes care of everything on this hiking and yoga retreat in British Columbia, so you can relax from the moment they pick you up. Meet them on day one of your retreat and take a scenic drive up the Fraser Canyon into a little-known spot where the coast mountains meet the desert. Get settled in at the glamping resort and enjoy a delightful meal, consisting of a healthy spread of plant-based food. During the evening, you unwind with a gentle outdoor yoga practice with the setting sun shining on you.

Day two - Rejuvenating in nature

Wake up to a warm desert sun and breathe away the everyday stress during a guided meditation. Join them for a freshly roasted coffee and a fresh breakfast before head out for a day of guided hiking in the mountains. Typically, you head to Joffre Lakes Provincial Park and hike to the upper lake, where you see a glacier up close and you can swim in the emerald water if you dare. Relax in the glow of the sun, focusing on being mindful and present at the moment.

On the way back, you stop for a sneaky stop at an award-winning winery, and they would not stop you if you wanted to treat yourself. When you return to the resort, you can join your retreat leaders for a fun, impromptu cooking class, learning a new plant-based meal. Day three - A day in paradise

Welcome the new day on your wellness retreat in British Columbia with a guided sit, calming your mind and setting your intentions for the day. And you intend to have fun. Today you are heading out for an adventure in the Fraser Canyon, checking out some waterfalls, scenic hikes, and a gorgeous backcountry lake.

Feast on a delicious charcuterie-style picnic lunch, trying some local delicacies. Free your inner vegan chef during an optional plant-based cooking class back at camp and enjoy your tasty creations. Treat your body like a temple during an evening yoga practice and relax with your new friends around a campfire under the stars.

Day four - Follow the river's flow

After a relaxing and mind-calming meditation or morning yoga practice, you head out on a rafting adventure on the Mighty Thompson River. You will be safe in the hands of professional guides so you can relax and enjoy the scenery and power of one of the biggest rafted rivers in Canada.

When you return to camp, you can go for a soak in the hot tub or join the daily cooking class for another inspiring meal idea, and mouth-watering dinner to follow.
