Admission requirements

Application must be filled in and returned in order to secure a space. For more information, please send your inquiries to Freemyme.

The training is not suitable for pregnant women or for anyone on medication for serious physical or mental conditions unless covered by a doctors note. On arrival to the training one of the things requested is that all students sign a disclaimer stating that they are fit and healthy both mentally and physically and they are prepared for intensive practices that may lead to emotional and physical releases.

Ultimately, each person will be asked take responsibility for himself or herself. This means resting when needing to or backing off when one feels about to move beyond any personal limitation (physical or mental).

Course information

Punctuality. In respect for the group and the teachings, Freemyme requests that trainees arrive in ample time before the beginning of every class. Any late arrivals may find that they are not admitted into the class.

Attendance. 95% attendance is required in order to receive a certificate. Since the trainings are scheduled as intensives there is very little room for non-attendance. In the case of continuous non-attendance additional hours of study on a future training will be required and a certificate of either 100, 150 or 175 hours will be issued to reflect the hours completed.

Additional hours of study are subject to a teaching fee. If a student has a slight illness, they are encouraged to attend the class and observe, as it is by experience that by being present and listening many of the teachings can be still be digested. If illness is severe, Freemyme requests to be informed so that if necessary they can call a doctor on your behalf.

Certification. Certificates are presented to trainees on the basis of performance and attendance throughout the training. All students are required to achieve 75% pass rates in exams and assessments and express a basic level of sensitivity and awareness and a genuine yogic attitude and approach to practice and teaching. If a student fails in any part of the training assessments yet is deemed to have the capacity to pass re-takes will be offered.

It is Yoga Flow Academys experience that all students who apply themselves to the best of their ability, pass. However in the unlikely event that a student has not grasped the fundamentals of teaching, cannot teach in a safe and effective way or is unable to express the qualities of a sincere yoga practitioner / teacher, Freemyme reserves the right to maintain its teaching standards. In cases where the standard has not been met the trainee will be given a temporary certificate which states more training recommended before teaching to the public.

In the rare case that a trainee does, on final assessment, need extra time developing their skills and yogic approach to satisfy the basic standard of teaching additional training can be completed via self-study and through practice teaching to friends. When the trainee feels ready for re-assessment they can send a video of themselves teaching. If the basic standard of teaching has then been demonstrated through the video footage a standard certificate will then be issued.

Homework. Homework is given for you to clarify your understanding of any new information or teachings that you receive during class. Freemyme requests that all students keep up to date with their homework and inform them if they have difficulties or issues with the homework they are given.

Medical information

All instructions and guidance during classes are an invitation to challenge you mentally and physically and therefore Freemyme events are only suitable for healthy and mentally stable persons. If you have an injury or medical condition you may still be able to attend the training if you are able to practice and are ready for modifying as necessary.

All trainees are required to inform Freemyme prior to booking of any chronic or acute injuries or any mental or physiological conditions that may negate your ability to complete the intensive training safely. If you omit to inform Freemyme of any medical health conditions and subsequently have difficulties during the training, Freemyme may ask you to leave the training.

If you are asked to leave a training based on the above you will not be entitled to a refund.Trainees are expected to take responsibility for themselves and approach each yoga practice with sensitivity and awareness to what and how they are feeling mentally and physically at all times. Freemyme encourages students to be sensitive to their limitations and always stop if they experience any pain or sickness.

Head trainer Anchelique has always been a free spirit and from a young age a true believer of following your heart. With a background of 10 years in London as professional dancer, crafting her passion for dance, self expression, its no wonder you feel like a dancer through her creative sequencing. She had an adventure signing contracts for jobs all over the world, from music videos for Madonna, MTV award shows for Gwen Stefani and Whitney Houston, to fashion shows for Adidas and Nike, even all the way to India for unforgettable Bollywood Movies.

As exhilaratingly varied, colorful and thrilling life was, it was also exhaustingly competitive, which eventually led her to yoga. Since 2005, she studied Bikram and Ashtanga and then fell in love with Vinyasa flow when she moved to Sydney. Yoga slowly became her new passion, place of peace and quiet. Finding acceptance and love for herself without all the expectations and built up pressure throughout the years of auditioning, she realised that happiness comes from realising your potential and doing what you truly love and being able to contribute that to the world.

Anchelique is an E-RYT 200hr yoga alliance certified teacher with TRIBE, 500 hours with Doug Swenson and has been sharing the beauty of yoga full time for the past 3 years. She is recognised as one of the leading teachers on the Island for teaching her very own authentic style of dynamic vinyasa flow, including handstand classes, restorative, prenatal, dance classes and regularly travels to host retreats and workshops around Europe. She is warm, encouraging and will patiently help you find your own individual definition of yoga, with emphasis on freedom and courage to accept ourselves as we are and to create a life of happiness around us.

Her classes are passionately taught with clear instructions and hands on adjustments to help you deepen your practice. Ancheliques approach to yoga is one that honours the need for individual self study with the aim of improving interpersonal relations and common-unity. By combing asana, meditation and pranayama, Anchelique provides an opportunity to explore the spiritual through the physical, she works to bring the study of yoga off the mat and into the practice of life.
