Free Spirit House has a capacity of 26 people. On the ground floor, there is 1 premium shared room for 6 people and 1 private room for 2 people in a bunk bed and shared toilette. On the first floor, there is 1 private Room for 2 people with a private toilette and balcony and single beds, 1 premium shared Room for 8 people female and 1 premium shared room for 8 people male.
Each bed has a blackout curtain for increased privacy, a plug for your mobile phone, a box to place it and a light to read. Each guest has a closed place to store their belongings and YESSSS Free Spirit House have surfboards and kite storage room.
Free Spirit House has a swimming pool and a beautiful garden, a bar and a chilled area where people have meals. You can use the house fully equipped kitchen to store and cook your meals.

They differentiate themselves from others because they love to host and they are very good at everything that they offer you. Free Spirit House is born out of love and passion for the offered activities. Rita, the house host and owner, has traveled/lived and worked around the world, for more than 15 years while teaching yoga in very renowned places and she is one of the Yoga teachers at Free Spirit House. She also surfs, kite surf, snow boards and loves to hike, to commute in bicycles, skate boards, and enjoys toys like drones, darts, and yoyos, so all those are available for you at the house.

Rita is the founder of Free Spirit and passionate for Yoga. She has fallen in love with the yoga philosophy of Patanjali that is very close to Buddhism and she tries to pass onto to others this way of living. Hatha Vinyasa and Yang Yoga is the perfect way to prepare your bodies for the day ahead through strength, flexibility, or simply just better breathing. Afternoon Yin yoga will bring balance within your energy systems and a unique sense of physical and mental calmness. In the satsang sessions, we will be focusing on personal development (know yourself and love to be with yourself).
Marta
Healthy cooking workshops. Marta owns a Healthy food renowned company in Lisbon called Be Wel`. She gives workshops on Healthy cooking that taste yummy and in addition, is gourmet! She also cooks kits for home delivery so if we want to eat at home it's an option to order her kits.
Nuno Gama
Nuno Gama is climbing for more than 20 years and owns a climbing school as well.
Ida Finska
Ida is a Finnish wellness professional and ambassador. She has dedicated 8 years of her life to studying emotional wellbeing in the field of yoga. She is an exercise advisor, licensed personal trainer, as well as a licensed yoga teacher and has developed an innovative retreat program to teach Yin and Yang styles. She is known from her healing hands and gentle and safe assisting. Ida’s day consists of a morning ritual; meditation and chanting, her own yoga practice, teaching classes for the local community, surfing with friends, functional training, eating plant-based foods and resting properly
APS - Nuno Telmo
We cooperate with APS, the best surf school in Portugal. APS trains the professional surfers but also beginners . They are in the market place for many years and have a proven success track record.
Retreat location
You will have a code to enter so no worries with the time you arrive but be mindful not to make noise when you enter.
The house has a premium location! It is REALLY in Cascais! But besides being very close to the city centre they still offer you the possibility of a shuttle that takes you to the centre once a day and transport to the beach if you do a surf or kite surf lesson.
If you want to be independent the main references are the following:
- Distance to the train station: located at 2.6 kilometers: 8 minutes by car/ 30 minutes walking/ 16 minutes by bus/ 16 minutes bicycle.
- Distance to Guincho beach: located at 4.7kilometers: 9 minutes by car, 30 minutes bicycle.
- There are 2 buses at 5 minutes from the house, number 409 and 417 that take 10 minutes to the centre.
- If you want to rent a car there is plenty of parking space outside and you should rent at the airport with Europcar that has the lowest rates on average 10 EUR/day.

Arrival by airplane
You will fly into Lisbon International Airport (LIS). You can then take a taxi, Uber, or train to Cascais and Uber from Cascais train station to the house (cheapest solution). Check-in is after 3:00 p.m. Possibility of storage before. The last check-in is at 9:00 p.m. and after that, there is 20 EUR of penalty. Check out is at 11:00 a.m. Possibility of storage after.
There is a transfer from the airport to the hostel available for 27 EUR per trip. Please let Free Spirit House Cascais know if you would like to use this service.
