This is a deeply nourishing weekend yoga retreat at Bala Brook on Dartmoor National Park with a deep and strong morning session of intelligent alignment and slow flowing yoga postures, and a Scaravelli-inspired afternoon class. This is for practitioners, teacher trainees, and teachers of yoga to bathe themselves in nature. Your Friday to Sunday stay will be nourished by delicious food, stunning landscapes, wonderful accommodations, and a beautiful studio yoga studio.
Bala Brook Retreat Centre is a very beautiful retreat house on the very edge of Dartmoor with a purpose-built yoga studio and a variety of accommodation. From the house, you walk through a gate and out onto the moors. There is a mix of shared and single rooms. A few rooms are equipped with en-suite bathrooms.
The yoga will be deep, strong, and slow-flowing morning practice with a more nurturing or restoring practice in the afternoon. You will get four yoga sessions with the duration of one and a half to two hours long. Frankie Teaches Yoga may also include a meditation or traditional pranayama early morning practice and a yoga Nidra session one evening. All of the teachings are influenced by the profound work of Vanda Scaravelli.
This retreat will take place at Bala Brook Retreat Centre, South Brent, Devon, England, UK.
You will be served with fresh, delicious, and healthy vegetarian / vegan food.
There is a half-hour bus service to South Brent from Totnes.
Travel to Totnes station, then take a taxi, it's about 8 miles / 13 kilometers.
