During this retreat, you will stay in a luxury boutique resort with four French-Balinese style bungalows. You may choose to stay in one of their double or twin rooms with en-suite bathroom, pool and terrace, beautiful garden, relaxing open living room, and a homely atmosphere.

Yoga Ties has a maximum of eight participants because they find it important to create a cozy and safe atmosphere and they wish to offer one-to-one guidance and individual attention.


Gertrud Tavernier
Ryoga (Vinyasa Yoga)
Growing up in tiny Belgium, Gertrud always pursued the philosophy of “Healthy Mind in Healthy Body”. She finished her PhD in Pharmacy in Berlin and started focusing on whichever projects are aligned with her morals and passions: next to her freelance career as a medical writer, she is involved in herbal medicine, fashion design, R&D of anatural cosmetic creams and… YOGA. She attained her RYA200 in India and her RYA500 teacher certificate in Bali and teaches a mixture of Vinyasa Power & Flow, Hatha and Yin Yoga. Currently, she is training in the movement the movement arts of Budokon.
Annelise Jouffrieau
Born in Australia with a Dutch mother and a French dad, Annelise grew up as an earth citizen. She is a devoted yoga practitioner since she discovered it at 18. After her art studies in Le Louvre in 1994, she worked as a flight attendant for 20 years. In 2007, attracted by a spiritual way of life, she decided to settle in Bali. She discovered Vipassana (silent meditation) and started naturopathy studies, her true calling. In naturopathy, she found all is linked, body, mind, and spirit. To be conscious how to optimally nurture your body and emotions is key for a blooming conscious life.
Michael Saukulak
Michael is a former United States Marine Corps Officer and Martial Arts instructor from eastern Pennsylvania, USA. His military training, combined with his love of food and cooking, has fueled Michael's passion for teaching both nutrition and fitness as well as self-defense. Since moving to Bali, he works as a health and nutrition coach, providing personalized diet and workout plans to clients based on their lifestyle and needs. His website LiberateBreakfast.com is dedicated to debunking nutrition myths perpetuated by the sugar industry, with a focus on intermittent fasting and clean eating.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). Canggu is a 45-minute ride from the airport. Transport to and from the airport can be arranged, please inquire to Yoga Ties. They can arrange motorcycle rental and taxi transport for you at all times.
