These holidays will take place at a 300-year-old Olive farm in the coastal town of Altea, an hour north of Alicante. The farm has been owned by the same Spanish family for generations producing gallons of delicious olive oil. The current family decided in 1990's to convert the disused farm into a four-star country house hotel with 20 spacious en-suite double bedrooms.
All rooms are superbly equipped with satellite television, telephone, heating, air-conditioning, a safety deposit, free Wi-Fi, mini-bar, hairdryer, fluffy towelling robes, complimentary toiletries, and a daily maid service. There is an outdoor pool in the garden, a small gym, a sauna, a yoga shala, and an onsite restaurant with an excellent Michelin chef.
The hotel has the perfect location for this holiday as Yoga Breaks Spain is at the very point where the countryside meets the edge of Altea town and so they have stunning views of the mountains and the sea. They are also an easy 10-minute walk to the town of Altea and 25 minutes to the sea.
These yoga and hiking holidays will take place in the coastal town of Altea, an hour north of Alicante. Altea is considered to be one of the prettiest villages in this region with little-whitewashed houses and cobbled streets leading to a stunning blue-domed church and the most amazing sea views.
There will be two yoga sessions a day with super experienced teachers who will take you through innovative and enjoyable sessions based on Hatha, Vinyasa flow, and restorative yoga styles. Classes will be suitable for keen beginners to advanced yogi's. Please expect to hear plenty of alignment cues and options for those who want to be a little challenged.
In addition to all this lovely yoga, Yoga Beaks Spain will be taking you out to the beautiful scenery for two guided and one self-guided hike. Naturally, delicious healthy meals are included - predominantly vegetarian although fish will be offered for those that would like it. Also, when you are not in the yoga studio, lazing by the pool or out hiking, you will have a few other optional activities you may engage in if you wish.
Nicole qualified as a yoga teacher with an Excellent Diploma after a two-year yoga training course with FRYOG (Friends of Yoga International) and has since gone on to train with some of the yoga famous, and not so famous but equally fabulous, teachers including Shiva Rea, Liz Lark, Godfri Devereus, and Claire Missingham.

With a coastline of well over 200 kilometers, soft sandy beaches washed by warm calm waters, and over 300 days of sunshine each year, the Costa Blanca has been attracting visitors to its shores for decades.
You will see coast-hugging mountains tumbling down to the sea along the entire length of the coast together with lush crops of citrus, olive, almond, peach, fig, cherry, and carob trees amongst the Mediterranean fruits and vegetables ripening in the sun. The perfume from the blossom is truly intoxicating and will help you create a naturally beautiful setting for your blissful retreat.
During this retreat, the chef will create delicious and colorful vegetarian and fish dishes using seasonal locally grown produce which ensures that everything you eat is bursting with flavour and optimum goodness. Breakfasts will be a veritable feast with fruits, wholesome cereals, breads and pastries, juices, local cheeses, Spanish cold cuts, tortilla, fresh eggs from the hotel owners hens, and a delicious cake baked each day by the hotel owner Vincenta.
You will be eating at the hotel on three evenings where the chef will be serving you a vegetarian supper. The restaurant is open during the day if you would like to have another meal. There are also supermarkets nearby and plenty of alfresco cafes and bars if you fancy venturing nearby and dining with the locals.
During your free time, you may enjoy an optional activity such as a guided bike ride through quiet mountain villages, saddle up for a horse trek, join the chef in the kitchen to help prepare some typical Spanish dishes, or book yourself a fantastic massage, a facial, a body wrap, chakra balancing, a Reiki session, or a Thai massage.
Please book your flight to arrive at Alicante–Elche Airport (ALC). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request for the additional cost of 40 EUR each way. Yoga Breaks Spain offers a private transfer service from and to this airport. The meeting on arrival will be between 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Upon departure, you will be transferred during the midday.

If you would like to travel with the locals, there is a resort hopper service that operates from Alicante–Elche Airport (ALC) at regular times throughout the day. The drop off point in Altea (the yoga town) is a 10-minute cab ride to the yoga hotel. Journey time can be up to one and half hours due to stops en-route. If you wish to catch the train, first, you will need to take a cab to the north end of Alicante harbor where you will find the FGV (Ferrocarril de la Generalitat Valenciana) train service calling at Altea.
