Au cours de votre stage, vous séjournerez dans une pension familiale, dans une chambre privée ou partagée. Cet endroit étonnamment calme est situé à cinq minutes seulement de Yoga Bliss et propose de belles chambres avec lits jumeaux ou grand lit double, climatisation ou ventilateur, salle de bains privée et wifi.

Votre formation sera orientée afin de vous permettre d’approfondir votre pratique tout en vous montrant comment enseigner aux autres.

Asana

La pratique du matin sera toujours un cours de yoga ashtanga mettant l’accent sur la force et la flexibilité tandis que l’après-midi se fera en yin yoga ou yoga restauratif pour rétablir l’équilibre physique et calmer l’esprit.

Méditation

Vous apprendrez les techniques de méditation du hatha yoga et de la tradition tantrique, ainsi que la méditation vipassana de la tradition bouddhiste.

Anatomie et physiologie

Vous apprendrez comment les os, les muscles, les articulations et tous les systèmes du corps interagissent dans diverses positions de yoga, et comment ils sont physiquement et énergétiquement bénéfiques pour nous.

Pranayama

Vous apprendrez différentes techniques pour contrôler le prana qui circule par la respiration. Différents pranamayas créent différents effets sur le corps, l’esprit et le système énergétique - certains plus activateurs et d’autres plus apaisants. Vous utiliserez le pranayama en combinaison avec le flux des positions, en plus de l’utiliser comme une introduction à la méditation.

Laboratoire d’asanas et d’enseignement

Apprenez à vous aligner correctement dans les postures vous protège contre les blessures et vous stabilise, tout en découvrant les avantages de la pratique. Vous apprendrez à vous aligner correctement et à l’expliquer à vos élèves en enseignant plusieurs variantes permettant de satisfaire efficacement aux exigences de tous les niveaux. Le séquençage des postures est également abordé, car le flux d’une séance est important pour atteindre l’effet énergétique idéal à la fin du cours (vinyasa flow). Il sera aussi question d’ajustements pratiques pour que les étudiants puissent être guidés physiquement vers un meilleur alignement, et développer des positions plus en profondeur et relaxantes.

Philosophie, textes et concepts

Vous étudierez les liens entre la philosophie orientale, la mythologie hindoue et le yoga. Vous lirez Yoga Mala et The Heart of Yoga sous forme de textes complémentaires à votre pratique. Ces écrits seront la base de la plupart de vos discussions qui porteront sur tous les aspects du cours dans son ensemble.

Ayurveda

L’ayurveda, également connu comme la science sœur du yoga, sera présenté comme une technique complémentaire. L’ayurveda parle de l’équilibrage de vos propres constitutions individuelles avec l’utilisation de plantes, de meilleurs choix alimentaires et même de la pratique de vos asanas, du pranayama et de la méditation pour créer la tranquillité, la radiance et une meilleure santé globale.

    Gwen est la fondatrice et la directrice de Yoga Bliss. Elle est professeur de yoga ashtanga et a étudié à Mysore en Inde. Elle enseigne le yoga et organise des stages de yoga, de surf, des ateliers et des formations de professeur de yoga. Yoga Bliss est situé sur l’île de Lembongan, à 30 minutes de Bali. Comme beaucoup de voyageurs le mentionnent, Lembongan ressemble au Bali d’il y a 20 ans.     Badly Advertised

    CONS Je n'ai pas aimé: The teacher is judgmental. There is a test at the end which we were not told about until we arrived and the teacher only allowed her favourites to take the test. The rest of us were not allowed to try. The course is not regulated or accredited. The shala was dirty, chicken poo and hair over the bamboo which was just swept over. As far as we could tell it was not once mopped or cleaned under the bamboo nor were the bolster covers changed in the 3 weeks we were there. The homestay was lovely. The food at the restaurant was hit and miss with hairs and the odd cockroach, the staff are great but the lunch and dinner menu was the same the whole time and became a little monotonous. Aside from the course, the Balinese people are fantastic and everyone will uplift you.

We are really sorry that you did not feel connected with the teachers and that you felt judged during the course. Judging people is the opposite of our philosophy, as we welcome everyone and work with each of our students to make them grow in the desired direction. Some students are of course more prepared or ready to be potential yoga teachers. If people choose to join the course but previously followed only a few yoga classes then this is a great opportunity to come and to deepen their understanding but of course at the end it would be difficult to certify them as a yoga teacher as they are only at beginner level. Some people didn't do the test at the end as they choose to deepen their practice and maybe become a yoga teacher later, once they will feel ready. The yoga shala is cleaned every morning and we are really sorry that you felt our outdoor studio dirty. The kitchen is always improving to give you the best fresh and healthy food possible and that was a first time incident. We of course, did pass the information to the staff and they were really sorry. We have not had any feedback like this since. I hope you will find your path and that you did still enjoy your stay in Indonesia. Becoming a Yoga Teacher is a big step and we would only certify students that we feel are ready and have the skills and the knowledge to be able to teach others. I hope with time and continued practice you will be ready to take that next step. I am sure you will. Yoga Bliss Team

    "Yoga bliss teacher training was the best decision for me. The balance of Ashtanga and yin yoga just works so perfectly. You are really given two sides to yoga, two different paths and outlooks on yoga. Which I think is amazing for your first teacher training if you are unsure which path you wish to take or where you stand. Both Gwen and Gina are so helpful, informative, passionate and easy going, which really makes the three weeks a bit easier. It is definitely an intensive training though, so be prepared for that. My experience at yoga bliss truly helped me find my path as a yogi and pushed me in the direction i need to go.     "I felt compelled to write an honest recommendation for those wanting a legitimate Yoga Teacher Training in the styles of Ashtanga and Yin Yoga. Your teachers at Yoga Bliss Lembongan, Gwen (Ashtanga) and Gina (Yin), who share the load of teaching Anatomy, Adjustments, Pranayama, Meditation and Philosophy, are two of the most genuine, knowledgeable, skilful, empowered women I have ever met. I honestly feel so blessed and humbled to have undertaken this training under their guidance. I personally have travelled to Rishikesh, India and completed a Hatha Yoga 200hrYTTC 2 years prior to this and although it was an incredible experience, I really did not feel ready to go straight into teaching after the course (this was Yoga Alliance Certified too so it just goes to show how pointless that really is). I was pleasantly surprised with the structure of the course offered at Yoga Bliss Lembongan and the content covered, as it truly sets you up with the teaching skills and knowledge to be able to walk out of the course and into being the teacher in your own classroom. If this is what you’re after, do this course with Gwen and Gina. I recommend you brush up on your memorisation of the Ashtanga Primary Sequence, you bring a tolerance for flies and bugs (there is bug spray available there) as it is an open air Shala and you are in the tropical climate of Indonesia. Bring a big enough notebook to take down all the information shared in each class, and enough pens to get you through. They provide very liveable accommodation a few minutes walk to the yoga Shala and meat, vegetarian and vegan options for food, cooked and served by a loving local Indonesian family. There are many other places to eat for super cheap all very close to Yoga Bliss too, if you would like a larger variety. The island itself is beautiful, we went for sunset swims every single day at Scooby Doo Beach opposite the street that the Yoga School is on, it is hot and humid in Indonesia so keep that in mind – again, you are in the tropics! There are no mosquito nets on the windows of accommodation so for a pleasant stay, I recommend getting a room with air conditioning. You get Sundays off and Saturday afternoons too, use this time to explore the island by hiring a scooter, for ultra cheap massages, and for study to prepare you for the week to come. I honestly loved this training and the whole 3 week adventure and would highly recommend it if everything I've mentioned here is of interest to you!"

    "My Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga Bliss was great! It was physically demanding and challenged me each day but I think that gives the course credibility. I was able to learn a lot from both instructors, Gwen and Gina. They were really cool, down-to-earth people who genuinely want to see their students succeed. The accommodations were nice as well. I had a room to myself which had a queen-sized bed, air-conditioning, and was located within close walking distance of Yoga Bliss. The food could be hit-or-miss some days because the staff's English is limited, which made it difficult to make any modifications our order. It was delicious nonetheless and the staff were all so adorable so it was never a big deal. "

    "Yogabliss, it's pretty simple, do yourself a favour and BOOK WITH THEM! Gwen and Gina make the experience like a trip with friends. I travel a lone a lot and although I am a complete beginner, really wanted to go on a yoga retreat. Gwen is the organising force behind Yogabliss and with her wealth of knowledge and local connections, you will have the best options with the best providers on the island of Nusa Lemnbongan. I opted to do the yoga and surf retreat as I am also a beginner at surfing, I met with Gwen on arrival (after a delay which they also helped me manage) and went through what activities I wanted to do on which days, treatments at Kemilau Spa, surfing with the Newbro surf school (absolute legends) and of course, as much yoga as you can shake your drink bottle at with Gwen and Gina."

    "The shala that they hold their lessons in is so perfect for me it was one of the best parts of the trip. The Green Cafe offered up easily the best breakfasts on the island, their Sunrise bowl being my absolute favourite, couple with the beautiful yoga space, this place is relaxing and peaceful. Surrounded by bush, birds and various animals, while attending a Yin yoga session one morning it poured with rain on and off, after the rain stopped all of the birds started singing, I was lying there thinking this is it, this is absolute bliss, therefore Yogabliss is aptly named."

I went for the ashtanga class, not sure if that's how it's spelled. I was very pleasantly surprised I first thought it would just be slow stretching, but how wrong was I. Gwen had told me it would be physical but manageable and she wasn't wrong. I was sweating in minutes and enjoying myself lots to think about but she explained it so well starts hard finishes very calm. I was in a class where an instructor was present too and they had a great time! They said they had never sweated so much! It not only felt like a workout but also like a beneficial experience! I ended up going 5 times and on my 5th visit I could actually touch my head on my knee which was shocking but delighting too!. The place is big airy and peaceful definitely worth a visit no matter what level you are!"

    "I went to have yoga classes at Yoga Bliss a few times, and I spend really good time. The place is really nice and quiet, on the middle of the jungle, there is palm trees all around, birds sings. Kind of oasis full of peace. The two teachers, Gwen and Gina, are really friendly and help me a lot to have good positions and develop my technique as I am beginner. They take time to teach me a lot, and always come to correct me when I needed. After class, I could also hanging around at the vegan café, and have a delicious smoothie bowl, topped with seeds and cashews! I can only recommend this place for relax and chill around!"

    "I attended a few classes whilst on a short trip to Nusa Lembongan with my mum. I found the classes an excellent way to wind down and practice yoga. The setting is beautiful with the sounds of birds, roosters, and monks singing in a nearby temple helping to set the scene wonderfully. Definitely recommended!"

Having practiced other styles of yoga but never Ashtanga (the class we attended), Gwen was able to provide various options and cues for poses we could not do with or were unsure about. Highly recommended with an enjoyable and easy going atmosphere."

    "The best yoga spot on Nusa Lembongan. I have been to al the other spots as well but this one is the best! Great location, very personal and professional. Good place to start or and your day. Also with a nice very healthy restaurant in the front."

    "Yoga Bliss is a new yoga place on the island. It is situated in a quiet location, lots of space, good materials, delicious healthy food and drink in the restaurant at the front and super good and professional instructors! I have been to all the yoga places on the island and this place is the best by far. Recommended for beginners and experts!"

    "Super nice! I did my second yoga class ever and tried with Yoga Bliss my first Ashtanga Led Class, it was so good! I love it! The instructor is super nice and the location is sweet. It was great, I will do it again and again!"
