This retreat gives you the chance of rejuvenation with gong bath, yoga, meditation, pranayama, and a workshop. A gong bath is a relaxing sound healing which is comparable to meditation. You make a nice warm nest on the floor and lay down, as your instructor plays his ancient gongs. The sound vibrations take the brain state from alpha, beta and into theta where you will experience a deep healing and relaxation. This retreat is open for all levels, abilities, and ages.
During this retreat, you will be accommodated at Braziers Park. It is a wonderful countryside manor house under an hour away from London and under 20 minutes away from Reading with more peace, tranquility, and character than you can handle. Set in 55 acres of glorious Oxfordshire countryside, it was once home to Ian Fleming (007), Mick Jagger, and Marianne Faithful. It's like James Bond and Tim Burton combined; thoroughly charming, cozy, clean and welcoming.
Roger and his gongs are notoriously enchanting and they play a major role at Om & Bass Wellbeing Festival every year. Now is your chance to have some quality time with Roger. You will be guided in a delightful Hatha yoga practice. He is an extremely experienced and learned yoga teacher with a great sense of humor and a grounded human attitude towards life and practice. You'd be mad not to come and enjoy him and his massive gongs!
Rach will be there to add her flavor to the weekend with humor, Yin and Yang yoga, meditation and pranayama. Rach has taught weekend retreats at Braziers Park for around five years and is coming up to her fourth annual Om & Bass Wellbeing Festival on the site at Braziers Park. Rach has a light-hearted approach to yoga and life, endeavoring to ensure that no one feels self-conscious or out of place on her retreats.
In addition to the above yoga, meditation, breathing, and relaxation, Wild Human offers long walks and an organics self-care products workshop with Susie of Alchemisty, making lip balm to take home with you. Susie is really knowledgeable about nature’s ability to heal and she has some great tips for you to take away.
The weekend starts on Friday, March 30 with arrivals from 15:00. Afternoon tea will be served along with homemade organic delights. There will be free time to settle in and explore the incredible manor house. Food is served at 18:30-19:30, followed by welcome and gentle relaxation practice at 21:00.
Saturday and Sunday are packed with classes and workshops, delicious meals, twice daily tea breaks with snacks and free time to relax and unwind. Sunday finishes at 17:00 with no evening meal.
This retreat will take place at Braziers Park in Oxfordshire, England.
Massages are available to book for 45 GBP an hour.
