Vedic Arogya Ashram is located in a beautiful and peaceful place next to Godaveri National Botanical Gardens. It is situated 30 minutes away by bus in a quiet village outside Kathmandu. The forested surroundings and views of the colorful hills offer an ideal atmosphere for the practice of yoga and meditation.
Nature walk to the temples, monasteries, and gardens are the part of daily ashram program. Basic accommodation is available for those who wish to experience life at the ashram or undergo treatment. The accommodation includes separate male and female shared dorm rooms, private rooms for couple, single rooms, shared showers and toilet blocks, and solar hot water bathing.
Yoga and Ayurveda have the same origin and the same goal which is to improve the health of the body, the mind, and the soul. The seven-day program aims to be a complete healing with both the methods of yoga and meditation as well as the methods of Ayurveda.

During this first consultation with the Ayurveda specialist, you will discover the basics of Ayurveda. You will discover the basic fundamentals of Ayurveda, the details about the content, and the goals of your program.
Then, the doctor will not only examine your body, but will take an extensive personal and medical history, including questions about daily diet, profession and working conditions, exercise routines, relationships, and mental health. According to the Ayurveda science, the body is made of the five elements (air, space, fire, water, and earth). Those five elements are combined in the body to form three groups of life force or energies called the doshas. You will discover, with the knowledge of the Ayurvedic doctor, what is your dosha.
The Ayurvedic doctor or practitioner will create a treatment plan specifically designed for you according to your dosha, your physical and emotional makeup, and the balance between all three of these elements. In Ayurveda, all the treatments are specifically adapted to the person, which makes it precise.

Yoga therapy is derived from the yoga tradition of Patanjali and the Ayurvedic system of health care. The price of the package includes daily vegetarian meals. Simple vegetarian Nepalese homemade food is served three times a day. Snacks and fruits are also available during tea break. Please book a flight arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request.
Take a bus from Legenkhel to Godawari and ask to stop at Taukhel. From there, it takes 15 minutes by walk to reach the ashram.
You may take a taxi from the airport to the ashram. This journey would take approximately 45 minutes and would cost you around 1500 NRP.
