During this holiday, you will stay in a shared, private, or double room at the Kriya Yoga Ashram or at the Vedansha Retreat Center. The rooms offer hot water, a clean toilet, warm conditions during cold seasons, and security in the area. Rooms have fan and good ventilated. You may opt for an air-conditioned room offered upon availability at an additional charge of 8 USD per night.

If you would like to stay in a single or double hotel room, Vedansha Institute of Vedic Science and Alternative Medicine offers you a private accommodation with air-conditioning, either in a deluxe room or an apartment, for an additional cost. Please send an inquiry and the institute will be pleased to offer you a quotation for the hotel accommodation option.

Please note that sometimes the power goes off in the whole Rishikesh. During these moments, you will have light in your rooms, but the internet may stop working for a while. In such cases, you should not worry, as it usually comes back in a few minutes. Otherwise, please ask Vedansha Institute of Vedic Science and Alternative Medicine's manager to assist you and provide the internet stick.

  • Sanjeev Pandey

    Yogachariya Dr. Sanjeev Pandey Ji is the founder of the Vedansha Institute of Vedic Science and Alternative Medicine. He has a PhD in Yogatherapy and Naturopathy, and he is a Himalayan yogi from the seventh generation. He has kept the family and university tradition of yoga during his teaching and personal practice. Since January 2017, he provides education and supplementary treatment according to the high level of ancient and modern standard of Vedic science at his own Institute to share yoga knowledge.

  • Rahul Singh

    Yoga Alliance RYT 500 (Hatha Yoga, Bhakti Yoga)

    Rahul Singh, known as yogi Raj, was born in 1986 in Meerut City and graduated from school there. At the age of 16, he went to a monastery, where he lived for five years. While there, he learned the philosophy of yoga, asana, and pranayama from his holiness guru Ji Swami Karshni Guru Sharnanand Ji at his Udaseen Karshni Ashram, the Raman Reti Ashram. At the monastery, he also learned Bhakti yoga, mantra chanting, and ancient meditation techniques through traditional Hatha yoga practice.

  • Natalia Vdovichenko

    Dr. Natalia Vdovichenko was born in physicians family in Kazakhstan. After graduating from Lyceum in Chelyabinsk, Russia, she decided to follow the footsteps of her parents and be a physician. In 2008, she graduated from Chelyabinsk State Medical Academy and continued her education in gynecology and obstetrics specialty. In 2015, she decided to participate in a yoga teacher training in Rishikesh where she met dr. Pandey Ji. and developed her meditation and pranayama techniques.

  • Ashish Rawat

    (Ashtanga Yoga, Hatha Yoga)

    Ashish is a yoga master with a uniqueness that attracts the learners with his dynamic teaching style. He was born in Vedic family and is a certified yoga teacher that has been teaching during six years. In this period of time, he had shown exceptional qualities of a yoga teacher in Hatha and Ashtanga style. He undertook the yogic training from the international school of yoga, Ved Niketan Dham in Rishikesh and gained the master degree in yogic sciences from the Sanskrit University in Uttarakhand.

  • Awdhesh Semwal

    Awdhesh is an asana teacher for Hatha and Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga. He was born in Rishikesh, the capital of yoga. His yogic practice started from 2011 after he met various yoga masters who inspired him and encouraged him to come to yoga path. He began to study in Uttarakhand Sanskrit University yoga philosophy and started his own practice as well. He obtained positiveness, peace in mind, and physical heath. Awdesh Semwal completed his diploma in yoga and other degrees in 2014.

  • Usha Vaishnava

    Having studied Ayurveda and herbal medicine at Kanpur in the Kanpur University in 1966, Dr. Usha completed her internationally recognized bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery in 1997. Her competence is evident in her extensive and varied experience during the past 20 years, having shared her expertise as a lecturer of Kaya Chikitsa at Himalaya Ayurvedic College (Bareilly, U.P.), as a trainee physician in Arya Vaidya Sala (Kottakkal, Kerala), and Panchkarma specialist.

  • Jyotish Acharya

    Pandit Shiva Ji or Jyotish Acharya is a famous traditional Vedic astrologer in Rishikesh. He is well qualified in astrology and Vedic science, he completed his Jyotish Acharya (master degree in astrological science) and Ved Acharya (master degree in Vedic science and Vastu Shastra) from Sampoorna Nanda Sanskrit University, Kashi (Varanasi), India. He worked with great Himalayan Astro Masters and he lives and teaches in Rishikesh, sharing his knowledge of Vedanta, astrology, and Vedic karma kand.

This retreat will be located on the lap of Himalayan Mountains, India.

During this retreat, you will enjoy a daily vegetarian breakfast, lunch, and dinner plus drinks. Every meal will consist of a special nutritious of Ayurvedic and yogic menu developed according to the season. For the morning, you will enjoy a detox hot tea with special Himalayan herbs to make you stronger and improve your digestion. Other drinks will include herbal tea, black tea, masala tea, water, milk, and juice. One celebration dinner is included in price.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL).

From there, you can book a domestic flight to arrive at Dehradun Airport (DED). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request.

Upon arrival to Dehradun Airport (DED), you can also hire a taxi. Alternatively, you can hire a taxi from Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) or you can avail the Vedansha Institute of Vedic Science and Alternative Medicine transport package which covers the cost from Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) to Rishikesh by taxi and back, after the completion of the course. Rishikesh is a six-hour drive away from the Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL).

Arrival by bus

You can also opt for Volvo service from Delhi, however bus traveling could cause inconvenience for the first time travelers.

Arrival by train

Take train for Haridwar from New Delhi Railway Station. From Haridwar, there are many transport facilities available to reach Rishikesh. Transfer from and to this train station is available upon request.
