Enjoy an evening yoga practice in the beachfront yoga loft, followed by a guided meditation while tuning your breath to the sound of the ocean. Finish the day with an organic dinner at the farm-to-table restaurant and discover Cabarete’s vibrant nightlife.
Included is a tour of Taino Organic Farm. This half day experience will teach you about aquaponics and sustainable agriculture, as well as get you into the local culture of rural Dominican Republic. The organic farm grows a variety of fruit, vegetables, and superfoods which you’ll be able to taste fresh off the trees during your tour.
After the farm tour, be ready to head down to the beautiful Yasica River. The cooling fresh water will be your guide as you float peacefully downstream from one to two hours. Adventurists are invited to scramble up a jungle side cliff and jump from an overhanging tree into the crystal waters below. Afterward, you’ll enjoy a lunch prepared from fresh organic produce.
Yoga Alliance RYT 200 (Kundalini Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Power Yoga)
Molly Muffoletto is a former ballet dancer and lifelong yoga student. She is a Yoga Alliance RYT with 200-hour certifications in Vinyasa, Power (Baptiste) and Kundalini yoga, along with stand up paddleboard yoga certification from JB Yoga in Sag Harbor, New York, and World Paddle Association paddleboard certification. While she loves a strong physical practice, she did not want to lose sight of the tradition of yoga as a holistic practice so, drawing her backgrounds and training in Kundalini and Baptiste yoga, she teaches her signature Chakra Power Flows.
The retreat will be held in Cabarete, Dominican Republic. Cabarete is best known as one of the world’s meccas for kiteboarding. The sport is popular due to the consistent winds nearly year round, so it is one of the best places to learn, practice, and perfect the sport. Cabarete however, has so much to offer beyond kiting.
It also is a fantastic surf location for both beginners and advanced surfers with waves reaching double overhead in the fall when the wind dies down. Most of the breaks are coral-based, making the perfect formation when the conditions are right. Cabarete also has horseback riding, beautiful lagoons for paddle boarding, and waterfalls to be explored.
Due to the active, modern community who frequents Cabarete, the town is full of healthy eating options, ecological businesses, and sustainable tourism. Cabarete is home to a lively international community that supports local development through private business operations and non-government organizations. The center of Cabarete is full of international restaurants, bars, live music venues, and much more.
The Yoga Loft believes in living a balanced life, so for those who enjoy the nightlife as well as the day, you would not be short of options. Your place of stay is one hour and thirty minutes away from Grande and Preciosa Beaches. Meanwhile, the Blue Lagoon is one hour and fifty minutes away.
All breakfasts and dinners are included in the retreat. The Yoga Loft believes that how you feed your body is as much of a part of a yogic life as breathing. The food served is made from organic, natural, farm fresh, and unaltered ingredients supplied by the Yoga Loft's own Taino organic farm. The menu is carefully planned to provide fuel and energy for your body to keep it running at its top level.
Every bit of food is prepared with love and will be enjoyed with just as much zealous pleasure as that with which it was created. The Yoga Loft can cater to vegetarians and those on gluten and lactose restricted diets. However, unfortunately, they do not have the ability to cater to vegans or raw foodies yet.
