Join Fiona Smith for a two-night retreat in a beautiful historic house nestled in the Irish countryside. The weekend will be relaxing and renewing, a chance to nurture yourself with healthy food, rest, fresh air and gentle Kundalini yoga, meditations, mandala art and Tibetan Bowl sound baths. Don’t worry if you are not accustomed to yoga because no previous yoga experience is necessary! Just come with an open mind and a desire to relax and care for yourself.

Hébergement

Each guest has their own individually styled bedroom, with historic views of the gardens and parkland or there is limited alternative accommodation in the stables courtyard adjacent to Lisnavagh House. The unique and dramatically different bedrooms are tranquil and calm making it ideal for sleeping well.

The rooms at Lisnavagh House are colonels room, oak room, night nursery, butterfly room, yellow room, Sasha’s room, day nursery, and stable bedroom in the Lisnavagh courtyard. Please note that due to the nature of Lisnavagh House some of the bathrooms contain showers and some baths only.

Some of the bedrooms are ensuite and some bathrooms are next door or across from the bedroom so as not to spoil the dimensions of the old style bedroom. Bathrobes and Voya natural products are provided in each bedroom.

The Lotts Yoga Retreat in Ireland Program

Between the classes you can experience a multitude of delights as you unwind, curling up on the sofa with a good book by a big log fire in the oak-paneled library, or taking a snooze in the blissful quiet of your bedroom, soaking in a luxurious bath with no time pressure, or sipping tea as you take in expansive views of the pleasure grounds. Fiona will also show you how to draw your own Mandalas in the evenings (optional).

Fiona Smith
Fiona loves sharing the many benefits of Kundalini yoga with her students. Kundalini yoga goes beyond the physical performance of poses with its emphasis on breathing, meditation, mudras and chanting. It is especially suited to the needs of busy people who want to stay calm, bright and centered in a high-energy world. Fiona has worked as a sculptor since the early 1990’s. Her bronze birds are on show in galleries around Ireland and UK.

Situated on the Carlow / Wicklow border about an hour or so from Dublin, there are striking panoramic views of the Wicklow Hills, Blackstairs Mountains, and Mount Leinster beyond the estate’s 600 acres of woods and farmland.

Repas

During this retreat, you will get dinner on Friday, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday, and breakfast and lunch on Sunday.

Nutrition and eating with the seasons is an important part of the food ethos at Lisnavagh. Meals are vegetarian, made using fresh organic ingredients from the Walled Garden and local suppliers.

All meals, organic breakfast, lunch and dinner are included for the duration of your stay. They are served in front of the fire in the dining room at the large mahogany table. Homemade snacks are also available throughout the weekend, along with a selection of teas and coffee.

Driving directions from Dublin, the North and the North East

  • Take exit 9 off M50 to M7.
  • Continue on M7 to M9.
  • Take Exit signed Castledermot / Carlow / Tullow off M9.
  • Turn left at the roundabout towards Castledermot.
  • Take a sharp right to Tullow opposite Castle Inn.
  • Follow this road for 7.5 kilometers until you see a sign to Hackettstown.
  • Turn left (ignore sign to Rathvilly).
  • Follow this road to a T junction.
  • Go right and immediately left towards Hackettstown.
  • After about 4 kilometers turn left at a crossroads signed Lisnavagh House and Rathvilly.
  • The entrance to Lisnavagh House is on the left 1.5 kilometers from crossroads.
  • The entrance to Lisnavagh Farmyard is on the left, just after two stone cottages, about 500 meters from crossroads.

Driving directions from Tullow and the South East

  • From Wexford, take the N80, towards Carlow.
  • Turn right on the N81 to Tullow.
  • Go straight through Tullow towards Rathvilly on the N81.
  • After about 5 kilometers, turn right on the Hacketstown road.
  • Turn left at Tobinstown (a small hamlet on a crossroads just before a marked bend in the road).
  • The entrance to Lisnavagh House is on the left 1.5 kilometers from crossroads.
  • The entrance to Lisnavagh Farmyard is on the left, just after two stone cottages, about 500 meters from crossroads.

Driving directions from Carlow and the West

  • From Carlow, follow the signs for Hacketstown.
  • Zigzag (right and left) at the main road at Killerrig Cross (ignore the left turn to Rathvilly shortly after this).
  • Turn right at T junction (the N81 Tullow / Rathvilly road) and immediately left.
  • Turn left at Tobinstown (a small hamlet just before a marked bend in the road).
  • The entrance to Lisnavagh House is on the left 3 kilometers from crossroads.
  • The entrance to Lisnavagh Farmyard is on the left, just after two stone cottages, about 2 kilometers from crossroads.
