    You will be accommodated in a private bungalow. The accommodation is within walking distance to the training facility. Daily morning shuttle is available at no extra charge if requested.

    This meditation teacher training is suitable for everyone who wants to learn to meditate or deepen their meditation practice. This training is also suitable for meditators who want to learn how to advance their practice and guide others to meditate based on classical yoga texts. Yoga teachers who seek to deepen their meditation practice and teach are also welcome. Upon completion of this meditation teacher training certification course, you will be able to:

    Daily training schedule

    • 06:00 Jala neti (nasal irrigation, optional)
    • 06:30 Asana and pranayama
    • 08:00 Chanting and meditation
    • 11:00 Meditation theory
    • 12:00 Meditation practice
    • 15:00 Yoga Nidra theory and practice
    • 17:00 Dharana and meditation

    The total hours per day is eight hours 30 minutes. In a week, the total is 51 hours and two weeks is 100 hours. On the first day, you will have an orientation session from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. On the last day, you will get your certification in the evening.

    Your lessons will include theory and practice on different types of meditations based on Hatha, Ashtanga, Bakti, and Jnana yoga texts. You will lead yoga Nidra and guided meditation sessions in the second week. There will be silent hours to reflect, as well as group discussion and sharing.

      Sivananda Yoga Vidya Peetham (India) Yoga Alliance E-RYT 200 (Sivananda Yoga)

      Sunny is originally from Thailand but had moved to Canada in 2000. Her yoga passion started in 2008 when she went for her first yoga session in Winnipeg. In 2011, she received her RYT 200 yoga teacher training certification, where she was trained in the Sivananda style. She started her teaching career in Bangkok area at a fitness center, and then assisted and led a few yoga teacher training classes in Kerala, India. After returning from India, she decided to move to Koh Phangan, Thailand to start building her own yoga teaching business, which she did in 2012.

    • Arya Murty

      Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500 (Yoga)

      Arya Murty is the founder and director of Arya Yoga Sala. He belongs to a South Indian Brahmin family from Andhra Pradesh and started his yogic practices at the age of 15. By the age of 18, he was initiated into Mantra yoga and his practices included the mantras of Ganesh, Shiva, and Shakti. He finds joy in sharing the knowledge he has cultivated from various traditional Indian yoga teachers. To date, he has taught yoga philosophy, asanas, and meditation mostly to international students, in over 30 yoga teacher training courses.

    The retreat will take place in Koh Phangan, Thailand. Sunny Yoga is located on the beach front property of Blue Ocean Garden Resort, Haad Chao Phao, on the west coast of Koh Phangan, Thailand. It’s between Srithanu and Haad Yao beach, just about 15 minutes drive from Thong Sala.
