During this retreat, you will be staying in various accommodations with the options of a private room or shared room. When in Kathmandu, you will be staying in Khushi Khushi Hotel and Pashupati Hotel Plaza. When in Pokhara, you will be staying in Kantipur Hotel and when in Lumbini, you will be staying in Osho Ashram.
Kantipur is the poetic name of ancient Kathmandu the capital city of Nepal. Now, this poetic essence although disappearing in Kathmandu has finally materialized in Pokhara 200 kilometers all the way west of Kathmandu along with the combination of beauty, comfort, and taste. That is in the class form of an exotic place to relax and enjoy delicious cuisine amidst the magnificent views of the most beautiful Himalaya "fish tail" of Annapurna range reflecting itself within the Phewa Lake.
Khushi Khushi Hotel Pvt. Ltd. is just a 10-kilometers drive away from the royal palace heart of the city, Kathmandu. It is a peaceful place surrounded by forest and the soft rice terrace fields with changing colors overlooking magnificent panoramic views of the mountains and valley below while relaxing in the tranquil surroundings.
Osho Tapoban is an International Commune and Forest Retreat Center. It is a non-profit oriented organization and operated as per the vision of Osho. Osho Tapoban is the only Osho center outside Pune Commune which has six sessions of daily meditation and regular meditation camps and has residential facilities to suit the visitors throughout the year.
Hotel Pashupati Plaza is located at the prime location Gaushala, Pinglastan, opposite south gate of Pashupati Nath Temple and just two minutes’ drive from Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) and walking distance from most of the city’s main visitor attractions, including Pashupati Nath Temple, Guheshwori Temple, Bagmati River, and Bauddha Nath Stupa.
This spiritual journey will commence in Kathmandu where you will spend two days in the enchanting capital city of Nepal. The festival will begin on the day of Shiva Ratri-Shiva’s appearance day, in which you will come together to honor Lord Shiva, the first guru of yoga by celebrating yoga’s depth and diversity. You will continue this spirit by visiting the Pashupatinath Temple, considered to be the most powerful and important Shiva temple in existence, lying on the banks of the Bagmati River.
You will also visit the Boudhanath stupa, a symbolic Buddhist site as well as being the largest stupa in Nepal, and the Swayambhunath Stupa, the oldest Buddhist shrine in Kathmandu. Dhulikhel is located 30 kilometers southeast of Kathmandu. At 1550 meter above sea level, an astonishing panorama unfolds and one can merge with the breathtaking view of the snow-kissed Himalayas.
Besides its incredible nature, this town offers a vast number of temples, stupas, and pagodas. Another interesting fact about this place is its Hindu philosophy-based design. All the shapes and distances between houses and temples carry a specific meaning with them making a visit exciting and worthwhile.
The pilgrimage will then bring all of you to Pokhara, which does not only offer the holy sites of the Peace Pagoda and the Barahi Durga Temple but also breathtaking views of the Annapurna range and Lake Phewa. It is an ideal place for yoga and meditation surrounded by nature’s beauty. Finally, the journey will take you to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. This important pilgrimage location offers the Ashoka Pillar erected in the Lumbini Garden, marking the spot where Prince Siddharta Gautam was born, and where the Mayadevi Temple is dedicated to Lord Buddha’s mother, Queen Maya Devi.
On the way back to Kathmandu, you will spend one night at Dev Ghat, the sacred convergence of two rivers, the place where Sita, Rama, and Laskshman departed from this world, the birthplace of Veda Vyas, the compiler of the Vedas. There are many ashrams there and it is the home of many spiritual practitioners to this day, so it is highly charged with spiritual energy.

Should you feel qualified to teach yoga in any of the above-listed disciplines feel free to send us your bio and have the chance to teach or give a presentation at the yoga festival. If you are bringing a group, you will be given the chance to teach at least one class and will be the point person to communicate all necessary information to your group.

Since Yogini Gopika was a young girl she was in love with the deep beauty and peace found in nature. For her life was always full of magic and mystery. Upon getting her first real job after college, she can remember thinking with a feeling of longing for something greater that here must be more to life than this. Upon discovering yoga, everything transformed and she made a swift exit from mainstream society in search of life’s true meaning. After teaching yoga in New York City for about a year she journeyed to India.
Prakash is the founder and chairman of Shanti Yoga Ashram. He has been teaching yoga for more than 20 years both at home and abroad. He has a great capacity to transmit the spiritual essence of Tantra yoga to his students with full joy and love. His personal attention and care for every student make everyone feel at home. His deep love for yoga is reflected in his classes. The way he totally imbibes yoga allows him to transport his students to a complete state of tranquility and bliss.
Rama is the co-founder of Shanti Yoga Ashram and has been teaching yoga for 14 years. She studied at Bihar School of Yoga in India. In Nepal, she practiced under the guidance of Swami Shivalingam and Guru Yogi Prakash. Her teaching style is meditative and precise, encouraging students to fully blossom in their practice. She is also a certified naturopathic doctor and has taught in hospitals and schools in the Kathmandu region. The ashram would not be where it is today without her dedicated energy over the years.
Guillaume has spent the last five years exploring Africa and India, learning from diverse traditions, spiritual masters, and seekers. He has been practicing meditation since his teenage years and has understood its importance in elevating one’s mind and building a stronger foundation with self and society. Guillaume firmly believes that yoga is a way of peace, harmony, and self-reliance. He studies, practices, and teaches Tantra yoga. Guillaume enjoys to play instruments and is also adept in singing bowl therapies and guided meditations, which he considers the most beautiful gifts on earth.
Adrianna puts a lot of emphasis on the sensations in the body. She encourages her students to feel every movement and the corresponding body parts. For her, one of the aims of yoga is to discover one’s body and to reconnect to it. Since it carries one through all the obstacles and miracles in life, it is essential to express gratitude in every class. Of course, one does not feel in peace with their physical bodies every minute of their lives, but through yoga, one can establish a healthy foundation and learn to be in harmony with themselves.
This retreat will take place in Nepal. The journey will start in Kathmandu then move on to Pokhara, Lumbini, and will end in Kathmandu.
You will be served with daily breakfast and lunch. The diet will be yogic and pure vegetarian. Dinner is included on arrival and the first day only. There will be many restaurants in the area to choose from.
