This spiritual journey will commence in Kathmandu where you will spend two days in the enchanting capital city of Nepal. The festival will begin on the day of Shiva Ratri - Shiva’s appearance day, in which you will come together to honor Lord Shiva, the first guru of yoga by celebrating yoga’s depth and diversity. You will continue this spirit by visiting the Pashupatinath Temple, considered to be the most powerful and important Shiva temple in existence, lying on the banks of the Bagmati River.

You will also visit the Boudhanath stupa, a symbolic Buddhist site as well as being the largest stupa in Nepal, and the Swayambhunath Stupa, the oldest Buddhist shrine in Kathmandu. Dhulikhel is located 30 kilometers southeast of Kathmandu. At 1550 meter above sea level, an astonishing panorama unfolds and one can merge with the breathtaking view of the snow-kissed Himalayas.

Besides its incredible nature, this town offers a vast number of temples, stupas, and pagodas. Another interesting fact about this place is its Hindu philosophy-based design. All the shapes and distances between houses and temples carry a specific meaning with them making a visit exciting and worthwhile.

The pilgrimage will then bring all of you to Pokhara, which does not only offer the holy sites of the Peace Pagoda and the Barahi Durga Temple, but also breathtaking views of the Annapurna range and Lake Phewa. It is an ideal place for yoga and meditation surrounded by nature’s beauty. Finally, the journey will take you to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha.

This important pilgrimage location offers the Ashoka Pillar erected in the Lumbini Garden, marking the spot where Prince Siddharta Gautam was born, and where the Mayadevi Temple is dedicated to Lord Buddha’s mother, Queen Maya Devi. This international festival will draw revered yogis and yoginis from across the globe to share their understanding and experience in yoga. Some of the offerings will include asanas, pranayama, meditations, kirtan and mantras, lectures, spiritual dance, and ceremonies including havana (fire sacrifice).

The programs will include yoga class, meditation, kirtan, mantra, havana (fire ceremony), philosophy, Ayurveda, nature, lectures, music, dance, visiting sacred places, celebration, spiritual community, and puja (worship).
