Your journey and transformation will takes place within a warm cocoon in the foothills of the Andes, where the east meets west as you experience a unique synergy of shamanic practices from the Americas, ancient art, and science of yoga.

During this retreat, you will experience the shamanic practices of the Americas, ancient art, and science of yoga. Also, the intention and focus of this immersion is to deepen your self-awareness through powerful forms of self-inquiry. This is because the inner development is as important as learning new asana techniques, methods of teaching, and these outer tools are most powerful and always attending to your personal work.

The native practice of "council circles" will also play a significant role during this 10-day retreat, which will preface and follow all shamanic ceremonies. It is to further assisting the blossoming and integration of practices. Moreover, this immersion is considered as 100-hour module towards a 300-hour yoga teacher training for those moving towards to advanced 500-hour certification, and this module also meets Continuing Education (CE) requirements as required by Yoga Alliance.

In addition, the old adage “‘know thyself” is the necessary foundation required to teach, guide, and mentor others. Thus, this module will be less about instruction and more in providing you with the powerful tools, holding space, and remaining present as you look within. Also, these tools consist of practices that are able to become truly connected to your hearts, souls, and the humanity for thousands of years.

Furthermore, both yogic and nature-based practices are approached in sacred ceremony as offerings, prayers, to spirit, and to Pachamama (Mother Earth). Yogically, you will be experiencing pranayama, mantra, mudras, asana, and contemplation, along with the incorporation of both yoga Nidra and Yin yoga. That includes an experiential journey through all five koshas, as a way to embody and integrate the master plant teachings from the South American traditions.

In this training retreat, you will be going on a guided hiking trip.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for a wonderful, highly interesting and challenging training. Ive learned so much! Its been amazing how all the classes, talks and ceremonies fit together so well with you two (Simone and Troy) as the captains on a ship that was always steady and floating in the water, with all these amazing people on board; like Uma, Joseph, Cat, Sky and Marcus-all genuine, intelligent teachers with an open mind and a rich life-experience.I liked the clear way you both teach. Always emphasizing that there are so many ways to live your life and approach yoga. There is not just one way: looking at things with an open mind and an open heart."
