During this retreat, you will be staying at Sach'a Munay Retreat and Yoga Center, it is nestled in an oasis of native plants and fruit trees that is nourished by a magnificent waterfall. Also, this is the perfect place to connect with the incredible depth and beauty nature.
In addition, each of the guest room is a reflection of the Peruvian culture of the Sacred Valley. The staff and the entire center embodies the kindness, love, and wholeness that seem to permeate this magical place. Moreover, the available accommodation for this retreat is on a double occupancy basis.
Your journey and transformation will takes place within a warm cocoon in the foothills of the Andes, where the east meets west as you experience a unique synergy of shamanic practices from the Americas, ancient art, and science of yoga.
During this retreat, you will experience the shamanic practices of the Americas, ancient art, and science of yoga. Also, the intention and focus of this immersion is to deepen your self-awareness through powerful forms of self-inquiry. This is because the inner development is as important as learning new asana techniques, methods of teaching, and these outer tools are most powerful and always attending to your personal work.
The native practice of "council circles" will also play a significant role during this 10-day retreat, which will preface and follow all shamanic ceremonies. It is to further assisting the blossoming and integration of practices. Moreover, this immersion is considered as 100-hour module towards a 300-hour yoga teacher training for those moving towards to advanced 500-hour certification, and this module also meets Continuing Education (CE) requirements as required by Yoga Alliance.
In addition, the old adage “‘know thyself” is the necessary foundation required to teach, guide, and mentor others. Thus, this module will be less about instruction and more in providing you with the powerful tools, holding space, and remaining present as you look within. Also, these tools consist of practices that are able to become truly connected to your hearts, souls, and the humanity for thousands of years.
Furthermore, both yogic and nature-based practices are approached in sacred ceremony as offerings, prayers, to spirit, and to Pachamama (Mother Earth). Yogically, you will be experiencing pranayama, mantra, mudras, asana, and contemplation, along with the incorporation of both yoga Nidra and Yin yoga. That includes an experiential journey through all five koshas, as a way to embody and integrate the master plant teachings from the South American traditions.
In this training retreat, you will be going on a guided hiking trip.
Simone is trained with Yoga Arts in Australia before teaching throughout the greater Asian realm, she loves enjoying the simple, free, and romantic life of a traveling Yogini. Initially inspired by Ashtanga, then she moved on to study Vinyasa flow and Yin yoga before founding the School of Sacred Arts (SOSA). Later that, she dive into yoga Nidra in order to share the gift of yoga more deeply. She is increasingly drawn to nature-based spirituality, and she bring this essence into her yoga practice, teaching, and holding space with a gentle grace in her training.
This retreat will be held at Sach'a Munay Retreat and Yoga Center in Peru, it is located in the Sacred Valley of Peru. The center is a lovely spot in the Andes Mountains and home of the twelve mountains that known as "apus" (luminous beings) who are said to intercede on behalf of the people. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to commune directly with these mountains, as well as with the local curanderos and pacos (healers).
During this retreat, you will be served with daily delicious meals. It will be homegrown organic and vegetarian meals that are prepared by the chef.
In this retreat, there are bodywork and private healing sessions that are available upon request.
