You will be accommodated in single rooms at The Kairos Centre. It is a retreat and conference center available for day visits and overnight stays. The center is an urban oasis in southwest London, situated within acres of landscaped gardens and overlooking the historic Richmond Park. Their tranquil setting of peaceful, secluded gardens provides a place to pray, and the space to think and time to meet. You will have complimentary Wi-Fi.

Programme

Cultivating mindfulness in your daily life can be an enriching experience. This retreat will give you basic guidance to applying the principles of meditation to your everyday activities. Meditation involves a principle of awareness that you can practice in every moment of your life. Samyama Yoga will offer Hatha flow, Yin, and yoga Nidra classes, as well as guided meditation sessions for your health and well-being.

They will offer devotional intentions and ways of exploring and reflecting on the theme individually and in the group. This will include periods of guided and silent meditation - sitting and walking - to strengthen present moment awareness. There are opportunities for quiet time, to go for a walk, read a book, and be surrounded by like-minded people. All levels and abilities are welcome to join the retreat.

Patricia Olabre
British Wheel of Yoga (Yoga)
Patricia has been a full-time yoga teacher since she completed her 500-hour teacher training course with the Krishnamacharya Healing Yoga Foundation under Marc Beuvain in London. She is also a certified British Wheel of Yoga teacher. She finished the prenatal yoga foundation course with Birthlight in 2010 and a year later, the mother and baby yoga integrated course with Yogacampus and Sitaram Partnership. She is qualified as a children's yoga teacher through YogaBugs and Yoga'd Up. Patricia has recently been certified to share the benefits of Yin yoga.

Comment se rendre sur place ?

Arrival by airplane

The nearest airport is Heathrow. But you can take ‘Gatwick Express’ train from Gatwick Airport to Victoria Station, then take bus 170 to Mount Angelus Road.

The Kairos Centre is located at Mount Angelus Rd, Roehampton, London SW15 4JA. It is just off Danebury Avenue from Roehampton Lane (A306) which runs between Hammersmith Bridge and Kingston Rd (A3). The Kairos Centre is a five-minute walk from Roehampton Village.

Note: Danebury Ave can only be accessed from Roehampton Lane and not Priory Lane by car.

Driving direction from Roehampton Lane (A306)

  • Turn off into Danebury Ave and follow the road as it bends to the right
  • After 300 meters, turn left at the mini roundabout into Mount Angelus road
  • You will see the gate to the Kairos Centre in front of you, there is limited parking inside

Arrival by bus

Go to Putney Bridge (Wimbledon District Line) or to Hammersmith station (Circle and Piccadilly lines) and take one of the following buses: Buses 85, 265, 72, and 493 go to Roehampton Village. The 430 bus goes to MountAngelus Road from Roehampton Village.

  • From Victoria: Victoria Coach mainline or underground station, take bus 170 to Mount Angelus Road.
  • From Clapham Junction: bus 170 to Mount Angelus Road.
  • From Clapham Junction Overground station: take the Overground to Putney High Street. Just outside the station, take the 430 bus which will take you to Mount Angelus Road.
