Learn methods for sharing the practice of yoga to the world together, in peace and connection, for personal and global well-being. This one month course is designed to give you a rich experience of the practices of yoga. There will be a strong emphasis on foundation and progression theory and balance of physical and meditative practices.
You will be treated like a beginner, especially in the first week. The foundation will show you that even basic poses and techniques practiced with the correct attitude and intensity can lead to a profound experience and blissful Shavasana. You will learn Sajeeva yoga sequences that highlight various themes and topics, and also learn the theory that you can use to design your own practice and themes.
As the course progresses, pose and exercise variations will be given to each student to be challenged and motivated to explore deeper. By the end of the course, you will have longer practices with more emphasis on challenging or complex asana, pranayama, and longer meditations.
You will also practice teaching from the first week of the course. First, the individual elements that make up a typical Hatha yoga class, then whole classes. Each teaching element will have lessons and examples, objectives to aim towards, and also come synchronized with what you are practicing and learning about in anatomy or philosophy.
After teaching you will receive feedback from your teachers and peers. Progression theory teaches you how to give options throughout your classes, so that everyone feels included and engaged. There will be workshops on using props, giving intelligent adjustments, teaching large groups or private lessons.
Yoga philosophy will inform you about how to teach ethically, respecting the journey of your students, while expanding your understanding of how to point people towards freedom. Everything is about connections, so you will also learn the best ways to reach out to potential students with your character and skills through real life situations and social media, work freelance or with studios, and organize or co-host events.
Teaching yoga can provide more purpose to your life and others. With dedication to the practice and a service, it can also become an amazing career of freedom, blessings, and love. Yoga Elements (Vinyasa Yoga)
George's yoga journey started with spontaneous self-motivation to practice yoga Asana from pictures on the internet, and a little inspiration from The Beatles. After the resulting radical mental shift, he viewed his life's purpose freshly and discovered a perspective of oneness. Since his geographic relocation to Thailand and initial training, he continues his learning from dedicated practitioners and teachers of all paths of yoga. Teaching with a bright and generous heart, he finds in yoga the best method for self-development, to release anxiety, and to deal with regrets.
Scott's first approached yoga was at 16 years old to increase his flexibility for his competitive martial arts practice. Before sharing yoga, he was a personal trainer for 10 years, lovingly helping clients achieve the outer body of their dreams, and doing his best to help them fall a little more in love with themselves on the inside. In early 2014, he moved to Thailand studying yoga, and got teacher certified to deeply help students move from their heart, exploring their bodies and spirit from inside out. Students find his classes powerful, insightful, energetic, playful, and loving.
Michelle Lam is a long term and highly respected physiotherapist who is also one of the leading yoga anatomy teachers in Asia.
