Rishikesh Yoga Retreats India Yoga Retreat Program

In this retreat, the core essence of life will be discussed with many life stories of sages and you will try to make such life style as a habit. “Talent” means the ability to do a work and proving it in the physical world. However, it is also defined in the scriptures as pratyahara. It is the ability to use the special senses at a time with all sorts of disturbances from the external world.

During the program, you will be offered few techniques of knowing the strength of special senses. The differences in abilities will promote the further journey of meditation. This pratyahara reduces the addiction, habits, and phobia in general and it also improves creativity and realization as part of a transformation.

You will learn the basic rules and regulations of the yogic life in practicality in this retreat. You will also be taught the 'Ishwara Pranidana', sacrificing every fruit of action to God. You will wake up early morning, start the day with a chanting of different mantras, shlokas, daily practices, and eating natural foods.

Moreover, there will be a self-assessment at the beginning and at the end of every day in order to make you understand the status of your present life and what is next. The realization happens with this kind of program and it is a basic routine that is followed in gurukulam (traditional schools) to this date as a tradition.

Code of conduct (Yama)

During this program, you have to follow the code of conducts (Yama). First, you have to be honest and have to self-assess yourself. Second, you have to be punctual and regular to all the sessions planned in the schedule. Third, consumption of tobacco products, alcohol, and non-vegan foods in any form are prohibited. Fourth, you have to follow the 'Taittiriya Upanishads' for total personality because it will help you to grow in spiritual lore.

Guidelines

In order to make the program effective, several guidelines have to be followed. In this retreat, you have to be calm and listen to the guru all the time. This program will fail if you are overeating, overexertion, doing excessive talk, lacking disciplines, having promiscuous company, and unsteady. On the other hand, this program will succeed if you have a zeal towards learning, are bold, determinate, courageous, hungry for true knowledge, firm (belief in the words of guru), and have a good company.

According to Patanjali Maha Muni, yama and niyamas will be the first step in yoga life. Avoiding fire is the journey in the beginning of yoga life. Also, you have to avoid practicing too hard. Early morning cold water bath and fasting will also help. Making a decision after reading the scripture makes the difference of living. The actual goal of this retreat will be completed after analyzing the drama and notes that are made by you every day.
