This means you will experience the true meaning of parampara or teacher-to-student transmission and receive individual guidance from Orion Healing's core team of teachers. Orion Healing's training content is 200 hours of teacher-to-student class time.
For Orion Healing, these hours are essential for students to understand the true essence of parampara and the depth of the teachings. The approach will be based on the pure tradition of Tristana including breath - bandha - bristhi. Experienced teachers and the flow of Sanskrit count make this training unique. It is a direct tool for students to deepen their practice, discover their body in a new light, and unveil the teacher within.

On top of that, here, you will be part of a global family. You will become a part of the Orion Yoga Teacher community and learn how to bring a conscious community spirit back home with you to create your own sangha. Orion Healing's teachers are here to offer guidance, support, and first-hand insight into the business side of yoga teaching in the modern world. This will be an invaluable help as you take your first steps towards becoming a successful yoga teacher.
The operative word in the Tantras (texts) for this sādhana (spiritual practice) is usually "sequence" (Vinyasa), wherein the ritual liturgy of ‘rites’ (kramas) are the yoga practices comprising it which must be performed in a specific order, identified as a "Krama - Vinyasa" by Christopher Tompkins. Vinyasa was never just meant to be a term for a sequence of poses. It is the entire ritual that involves the practice.
How you can break this down into a modern-day yoga class is by honoring the intention in which you set the practice - making each movement, breath, and thought as part of the sequence. This importance must be transmitted to students. If you wish to allow yoga to happen in your practice, you must start with the intention and this intention should come from a space of love, compassion, surrender, and pure passion, not the body, ego, and asana oriented which will lead to injury and fuel the wrong energy.
Orion Healing accepts students of all levels. However, to become a successful teacher after this course, you should have a regular Vinyasa or Ashtanga yoga practice for at least one year. You should be in good health and not have any injuries that could prevent you from completing this intense month-long training. This course is very physically demanding and requires full attendance and commitment from each student.
With years of experience running a health, detox, and yoga center in Asia, Orion Healing has the experience and knowledge to safely guide you and the clients through a transformative process. During the course of your training, you may encounter obstacles, both physical and energetical. Orion Healing's dedicated staff and teachers will be here in this protected space to allow you to open, share, and grow. This intimate bond between the teacher and student (known as parampara) is what will set this training apart.
The market for teacher training is over-saturated. For Orion Healing, it is paramount that they teach traditional yoga. This means your training will be intense, profound, and Orion Healing will stick to the essentials of what will benefit you on your path to the enlightenment. Orion Healing's in-depth teaching style encompasses more one-on-one teaching time with the instructors because Orion Healing wants you to complete your training feeling confident and full of knowledge. Two hundred hours is simply not enough for Orion Healing's standards.
Completing a one-month 200-hour yoga teacher training course does not guarantee you will be ready to teach yoga. They will do the best to create the right environment for you to learn as much as possible in these four weeks. The tools and skills you will learn will be directly applicable to teaching and daily life.
