Nokishita Toshokan's rooms have been renovated with care and attention to details to give shape to the original spirit of Nokishita Toshokan. The decor is consistent throughout the house and while working on a Japanese style canvas Nokishita Toshokan enjoys giving antique items a new life and function. The "kotasu" bases have become lamps spreading warm lights throughout the home and kimono fabric ornates the windows as beautiful blinds. It is and always will be a work in progress constantly evolving to inspire new guests and returners alike.
The weekend starts on Saturday at 15:00 with an hour and a half asana, pranayama, and meditation class followed by a light supper. The 2-hour Sunday asana, pranayama, and meditation class starts at 07:00. This is followed by brunch. The Saturday evening asana class often has a restorative feel, staying in supported poses longer to induce a sense of deep rest while the Sunday morning session will be more energizing preparing you for the day ahead.
This retreat will take place in Okayama, Japan.
You will be served two meals freshly made with locally sourced produce and green smoothy daily. All dietary requirements are catered for. Water is provided for classes. Please note there is no lunch provided on Sunday.
Nokishita Toshokan also offers dinner upon request. Our main dish is typically an organic vegetarian quiche or an inspiring pizza. Nokishita Toshokan's yogic guests may be tempted by Nokishita Toshokan's ayurvedic-inspired vegan cuisine for a sattvic evening at Nokishita Toshokan. Nokishita Toshokan always uses local products and/or organic food. The price is 1,500 JPY per person.
