You will be staying at the Moon Temple Retreats home located in Tambillo, a beautiful spot in the mountainous outskirts of Cusco City, steps away from the Temple of the Moon and just minutes away from amazing Inca Ruins and historical center of Cusco. The house was designed to be in perfect harmony with nature, with mud bricks that make walls thicker and rooms inside keep their warmth. You have an option of either staying at their beautiful bungalows or regular rooms that offer all the comforts you need including round the clock hot water supply.
There's an ample front garden with logs to sit on and enjoy sunlight and a back garden where herbs and vegetables are grown for in-house use. They also have a cozy and well-lit dining area, an ample open kitchen, and a living room with a chimney for sharing sessions by the fire. Moon Temple Retreats provide free Wi-Fi connection in both the accommodations with limited speed for basic communications such as emails, texting, and Facebook.
The bungalows are built respecting the Andean style and in harmony with their environment. Mud brick walls, wooden floors, Andean textiles and ceramics, and exposed wood logs make up these comfy independent little homes.
They have one main bedroom which can be arranged with either a double bed or two twin beds, an armoire, a chest of drawers, a living room area with a sofa bed, a fireplace, a fully equipped kitchenette, a small dining room, and a full bathroom with a bathtub and hot water all day.
All the beds have warm fleece sheets and down comforters and you are also provided with fresh towels and plenty of wood for the fireplace, which the staff will light up for you (unless you specify otherwise).
The back door leads to a small patio with a washing machine and drying area exclusive of the bungalow and the front door leads to a small porch with a view to the main garden.
The twin bedrooms are inside the main house and share the same Andean style as the bungalows. With their thick mud brick walls, wooden floors and furniture, and exposed wood the rooms make you feel at home while being in absolute harmony with the environment.
The rooms have two twin beds with warm fleece sheets and down comforters, an armoire and chest of drawers to keep your belongings organized, and a private bathroom with bathtub and hot water all day and fresh bath and hand towels.
Your view will be either of the main garden or of the back garden where organic crops are grown. You will also have an electric heater available in the room in case you need extra warmth!
Start the day with meditation and Hatha yoga to connect with prana (vital energy) relax the body and calm down the mind. Enjoy a healthy vegetarian breakfast, taste free local fruits, Andean bread and cheese, and teas made with natural herbs form our back garden.
Connect with nature during morning walk and hikes by the original Inca trail and visiting local Inca temples such as the Moon Temple, the Water Temple, and the astonishing Saksaywaman ruins.
Feel the almost palpable energy in Inca ruins and learn to channel it through Qigong movements.
Meditate in the heights of the Andes surrounded by astonishing mountains, valleys and an incomparable view of Cusco Historical Center.

Jarek Kielar is a Qigong, Tai-chi and Mindfulness Meditation instructor. Born in Poland in 1973, he suffered trauma and abuse as a child and he moved to New York in 1991. Spiritual awakening was his way out of suffering and in 2010 he changed his life, started practicing meditation and assisting meditation retreats. He then moved to Long Island where he added Tai-Chi and Qigong to his routine, disciplines he's been practicing for 4 years. In 2015 he met Adriana, a peruvian photographer and now his wife, together founded Moon Temple Retreats in order to help others find their spiritual paths.

Miki was born in Lima, Peru in 1982. After working for many years in the corporate industry he started feeling pains due to stress and work pressure. The physical discomfort plus his desire to deal with the emotional problems brought by stress led him to start practicing Yoga in 2010. In 2012 he did his first teacher training in Hatha Yoga with Percy Garcia, who was then director of Govinda Valley Yoga Retreat Center (Australia). In 2013, he followed a teacher training program in Power Yoga with Fred Busch, director of Miami Yoga Teacher Training.
Our retreat house is located in Tambillo, a small village in the mountainous outskirts of Cusco Historical Center. The unique location is perfect for the practice of Yoga and Meditation due to its closeness to the Temple of the Moon (Templo de la Luna) just a 5 minute walk away. This is a sacred place filled with ancestral energy and visited by many around the world due to its spiritual character.

There´s peaceful, quiet atmosphere surrounded by nature, ancient Inca ruins, mountains, valleys and the pure crisp air characteristic to Cusco. During the retreat, you will be served three daily vegetarian meals, including fruits, snacks, natural teas, and coffee. Every meal is freshly made at home with local ingredients and flavors. Try Peruvian potatoes and typical Andean bread. Stay healthy and relish servings of fresh vegetables and tropical fruits such as granadilla, mango, and maracuyá. Stay warm with the goodness of natural herbal teas of muña (Andean mint), cedroncillo (Andean lemongrass), and coca leaves.
Please book your flight to arrive at Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM), from where you can take connecting flights to arrive at Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport (CUZ). Transfer from and to the Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport (CUZ) is included. Moon Temple Retreats will pick you up from the airport.
