You will be staying in Prana del Mar for this retreat. As you settle into your deluxe room at Prana del Mar gazing out at the ocean from a chaise lounge on your personal terrace, you will feel your cares melt away. In their 16 spacious and luxurious guest rooms and suites with their clean lines and understated elegance, you will drift off into a deep sleep listening to the sound of the crashing waves as they break on the beach.
All of the rooms have polished travertine floors, pillow-top mattresses with 300 thread-count organic sheets, beautiful, custom-crafted teak and rattan furniture, and travertine bathrooms with organic bath towels. The downstairs rooms have king beds, an additional seating area, and an en-suite bath. The upstairs suites have two queen beds, private bath, a living room, and dining area. All rooms have views of the ocean and the gardens.
With delicious healthy cuisine, a spa with swimming pool and Jacuzzi, spacious yoga studio, and a stunning beach just steps away, you will enjoy a wonderful respite from your daily routine. Continuing their commitment to environmental sustainability, the water that irrigates all of the gardens at Prana del Mar is reclaimed from each building and the soil is fertilized by the composting of organic material, so that nothing is wasted.
With the ocean singing, the sun caressing you, and the wide open sky calling you, you will explore the power of asana (yoga postures), pranayama (breath and life force), meditation (quiet alertness), and as a community, nourishing food and deep relaxation. This retreat is for everyone. It is open to all levels. You will have time to relax, read a book, get a massage, take a nap, watch the sunrise and sunset, and of course, do yoga.
Each day will include two yoga practices:
As the founder of Milagro Living and pioneer of hOMe Grown Living Foods, Shani thrives as the momma bear on Milagro retreats, holding space and providing nourishment. Her passion for healthy living is contagious and she enjoys sharing recipes and gardening tips and insights towards an abundant life! When Shani is not in the Milagro and hOMe Grown kitchen or in the garden planting seeds for future harvests, she can be found enjoying the simple life, surfing and frolicking on the coast. She is always in deep reverence for this miraculous life.
Chia Seed Rafelson
Chia lives in Portland, Oregon where she has been guiding people on their yoga journey since 2006. She facilitates classes at Root Whole Body and private one-on-one in her home studio. Chia's teaching style is a harmonious blend of Vinyasa flow and Hatha yoga, with a strong emphasis on the breath and self-healing. She encourages students to smile, breathe, move slowly, listen to their bodies, and the wisdom of their own heart, encouraging students to value their unique process.
The retreat will be located at the beach on five beautiful acres near the southern tip of the Baja peninsula. With the mountains to the east, the Pacific to the west, and the desert all around, you are comfortably nestled in a tranquil valley that provides an ideal setting for rest, relaxation, rejuvenation, and exploration.
Todos Santos, Baja, the closest town to your home for the week, is a half-hour drive. There will be two excursions offered to this quaint town. A vortex where the Tropic of Cancer, Sierra de Laguna Mountains, Baja Desert, and the Pacific Ocean meet, Todos Santos is a charming artist community bustling with galleries, cafes, and authentic Mexican stores filled with pottery and keepsakes. Also, it is home to an abundance of organic produce that will infuse the menus.
You will be nourished with prana-infused mostly vegetarian feasts. Fresh fish and seafood are included several times per week. Special care is taken to be sensitive to guests' dietary restrictions, so if you are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or have food allergies, their chefs will do an exceptional job of accommodating your preferences. The menu features an international menu that incorporates contemporary and traditional Mexican influences.
Please book your flight to arrive at Los Cabos International Airport (SJD). Transfer from and to the airport is included. Milagro Living will pick you up from the airport. The retreat starts with dinner at Prana del Mar on March 11, so flight arrivals should be planned anytime in the afternoon.
