Much like how the leaves change colors in the fall time, so too do you transform with each season. Join Mapiya Retreat on this short weekend getaway to reflect on all that change has to offer. You will learn to release all that no longer serves you and make way for what is yet to come. Daily yoga classes, guided meditations, healthy, vegetarian meals, nature walks, health talks, and art creations will leave you feeling energized and recharged for the coming wintertime and holidays.

Hébergement

Each of Mapiya’s bedroom has a unique name with a story behind it. The Leopard's Rock sign was a gift from a national park Mapiya volunteered at while in South Africa. Bear's Den was named after Masha's first bear encounter in Alberta, and so the stories go.

Woof

The Woof bedroom has a double bed with a clear view of the front of the property. Closet and work desk are provided in this room. This room is perfect for the business traveler or couple trying to enjoy some countryside relaxation.

Bear’s Den

The Bear room has two twin beds overlooking the yard and barns. It’s a perfect room for stargazing as the sun goes down or for enjoying the fall colors as the leaves change. It’s cozy and ideal for two travel buddies.

Leopard’s Rock

The Leopard room has a double bed and also overlooks the front of the property. This cozy room is everything a country bedroom needs; barn wood headboard, slanted ceiling, soft sheets, and it's perfect for a couple on a weekend getaway.

Fish Bowl

The Fish Bowl room is covered in a lovely mix of blue hues that resemble the ocean waters. Two twin beds and a view over the barns and forest make this room exceptionally popular.

Robin’s Nest

Robin's nest has two twin beds and a twin bunk. You've got access to a balcony with a breathtaking view over the whole back property. This room also has bonus: en-suite bathroom with a claw tub!

Mapiya Yoga Retreat Canada Program

The guided yoga classes will teach you to reconnect your body and mind. Between classes, you've got free time to walk to the waterfront, grab a book from the library, or simply enjoy your time off in Prince Edward County. This retreat is open for everyone. No previous yoga experience is required.

Zen Den Yoga School Yoga Alliance RYT 200 (Vinyasa Yoga)
Masha began her yoga journey in 2010 after a lifetime of competitive sports. Her love of yoga began when she noticed the mental and physical benefits it had both in her everyday life and her physical performance in yoga, rock climbing, snowboarding, dancing, and general life. She has become a certified yoga teacher and seeks to expand her knowledge and understanding of yoga lifestyle since then. Her passions include Tibetan bowl meditations, nature-based healing, empowering Vinyasa Flows, vegan nourishment, spreading positivity, and sharing her knowledge with others.

This retreat will take place in Mapiya Retreat near Picton in Prince Edward County, Canada. Prince Edward County is an ever-growing area with plenty of varied attractions. All within 30 minutes of the retreat center are numerous conservation areas, horseback riding trails, farmer's markets, fishing points, hiking and walking trails, paddling access, wine tasting trails, a number of craft micro-breweries.

Repas

During the retreat, you will be provided with six organic, vegetarian meals with gluten-free and vegan options. All of the meals are made on-site with locally sourced ingredients.

Breakfast

Breakfast includes whole wheat freshly baked breads with homemade jams, peanut butter, and organic butter. There will be also locally sourced yoghurt with Mapiya's own granola. You can have oatmeal and cereals with optional brown or coconut sugar, coconut flakes, dried fruits, nuts and seeds, cinnamon, almond milk, or organic cow's milk.

Locally-grown fruits such as apples and pears from Mapiya’s garden will be provided as well as coffee, tea, and freshly squeezed juices.

Lunch

Mapiya knows the importance of eating healthy, while satisfying the taste buds. They guarantee you won't be disappointed! Lunch will include vegetarian chilly, homemade Mapiya herb scones, mushroom risotto, mixed bean salad, polenta muffins, baked vegetable egg skillet, and fresh vegetable salad straight from Mapiya's backyard!

Dinner

Dinner is Mapiya’s favorite meal. There’s so much nourishment and deliciousness all in one meal that includes stews, veggie roasts, lasagna with spinach, mushrooms and ricotta, red cabbage and carrot salad, spinach and lentil stew, Mapiya's never-the-same garden veggie burgers, and mixed veggie salad with greens from the garden!
