All accommodations for this yoga teacher training are in dormitory style. Students are housed in dormitory style housing with eight to ten beds per 680 square feet room. Dormitories offer both twin and full size beds. There are no private accommodations.

Kula Kamala Foundation Yoga Teacher Training USA Program

Upon successful completion of this yoga teacher training, students will receive a Certificate of Completion accepted by Yoga Alliance. Registration with Yoga Alliance provides a globally recognized credential. During this spiritual training, students will study yoga ethics, asana, meditation, pranayama (breath work), history and philosophy, the use of sound (chanting) and visualization in healing and holistic therapy, anatomy, pathology, the importance of alignment, yoga psychology, chakra, kosha, dosha, energy, and basic Sanskrit (the language of yoga).

Participants will learn basic principles for effective teaching for beginner and intermediate practitioners as well as individuals with common health concerns. Effective adjustments, how and when to use props, how to create a safe environment for your students and for yourself, sequencing of classes, the importance of your personal practice, and how to manifest your inner teacher are also topics of study. Start or continue your yoga journey with seasoned teachers who are highly educated and continuously dedicated to serving and working in the area of yoga, yoga therapy, and spirituality.

If you seek to move beyond the idea of yoga as a mere physical practice; if you are inspired by the healing potential of love, compassion and community; if you realize that there is more to yoga than meets the eye; if you see the need for 99% of people to slow down and become more mindful, rather than speed up their already stressed out nervous systems, then this is a training you should consider.

Kula Kamala Foundation has been working for over a decade to offer teachers in training an amazing program robust with wisdom and knowledge and formatted to empower an individualized practice, making teachers more aptly prepared to address their own and their students' needs in a professional, safe, loving environment.

Sample schedule

Month-long modules must be completed in a single stay. The daily schedule is organized so that the students receive the utmost quality teachings, while still having a reasonable amount of personal study time. Typically, the day will run from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Please note there are hourly breaks during sessions. Arrive by 5 p.m. on day one. The final day is graduation and is usually concluded just before lunch.

There are some days where the schedule shifts but this is the general structure that we work to follow. Students have one day per week daytime from 8:30 a.m. (after AM practice) until 6 p.m. (return for evening session) as free time during the program.

Repas

The ashram is dedicated to ahimsa which means non-harming. As such, the menu is largely vegan with some vegetarian options. The facility serves only gluten free, organic, and seasonal food when possible. There is plenty to eat. You will be served three meals a day. Meals are buffet style. Meals are high quality, healthy, all natural, and freshly prepared vegetarian sattvic food. Meals are all natural, organic when possible, 95% of the ingredients come from certified organic sources, gluten-free, gmo-free, preservative-free, chemical-free, dye and additive-free.

Kula Kamala Foundation does not serve meat, fish, or chicken, but milk, yogurt, and ghee are available. Outside food is not permitted on the property. Kula Kamala Foundation asks students to support the food rich environment and to please refrain from bringing outside food to the ashram, especially meat, gluten, eggs, and anything with chemicals, additives, preservatives, and artificial anything. Please also refrain from bringing perfumes, candles, incense, bug spray, or any product that contains chemicals or strong odors.

Soins et massages

Swedish Therapeutic (65 USD per 60-minute sessione or 95 USD per 90-minute session)

A standard therapeutic massage using a wide variety of techniques, some with client assistance. This type is the most easily adjusted to meet whatever the client needs most at the time. Massage is undressed under a sheet and blanket with oil or cream.

Deep Relaxation (75 USD per 60-minute session or 108 USD per 90-minute session)

A specialized massage comprised of slow-moving deep tissue techniques to promote relaxation and tissue release. The practitioner will be meditating for at least the half hour prior to prepare the space and energy necessary for the utmost benefit to the client. 90 minutes and previous appointment recommended for the practitioner to become acquainted with the body, energy, and needs of the client. Massage is performed undressed under a sheet and blanket with oil or cream.

Spiritual Counseling (75 USD per 60-minute session)

Spiritual counsel is a meaning discussion of the ways in which the tenants of compassion, faith, and devotion can bring to life a healing experience given a person's particular life experiences. Spiritual counsel is a potent tool to address the echoes of past and/or present life circumstances and empower ones self to move forward with mindful resolve. Spiritual counsel is non-denominational, universal and appropriate for all people from all pathways of life.

Ayurveda Health Coaching (75 USD per 60-minute session)

Ayurveda is defined as the "science of life", although it may be more accurately defined as the "science of living". Yoga is considered a spiritual wellness practice and Ayurveda is considered an organizing lifestyle practice, which supports the experience of health, happiness, and yoga. An Ayurvedic consult may include an assessment of an individual’s constitutional type (dosha) and determine the state of any imbalance (vikriti) and any qalities that may be promoting suffering. Assessment looks also at the current function of fire (Agni), waste (Ama), diet, and daily and seasonal regimens (Dinacarya and Ritucharya). There is not a part of life that Ayurveda does not address. The health of our worldly relationships depends on the health of our relationship to our self. Ayurveda strengthens and supports that inner relationship.
