Nous offrons une formation de professeur de yoga de 300 heures certifiée Yoga Alliance en ashtanga et vinyasa yoga, alignement et détente myofasciale sur Patnem Beach. Le programme dure 4 semaines avec un complément à distance et des lectures à faire avant d'arriver au village. After traveling the world extensively, Kranti has developed his Shala to combine location with the ultimate Yogi comfort. The village is situated right on Patnem Beach, you’ll walk right out our back gate and be metres from the sea. You get to soak up the amazing views and calming sea breeze during your practice whether sunrise, sunset or during the day. It has become a tradition to appreciate your surroundings with sunset walks, meditation and acro-yoga with your new friends. The Kranti Village is a 5000-sq metres property that has access to both the beach and the roadside. Conveniently spread across 2 beautiful campuses; Moksha is the Oceanview campus and Sattva is our tranquil Garden campus. The spacious deluxe cottages are available exclusively for guests of our school. Our options range from 4-Share Garden Cottages right through to luxurious Beachfront cottages. Choose to fall asleep with the sound of crashing waves and a light sea breeze or sleep nestled amongst the lush greenery of cashew, coconut and mango trees. Our cottages are purpose built for your comfort so that you can relax and focus on your learning and development. Cottages are around 28 square metres and have their own porch, hammock, desk and swinging chair. Comfortable mattresses, space to lock your valuables, mosquito nets and western style toilet and shower make up some of the indoor features. During peak times, we use a sister campus located next door on Patnem Beach. The accommodation is of a similar standard and is approx. 15 meters from the gate.

Kranti Yoga School 300hr YTT Program


Upon completion of this yoga teacher training, students will receive certificate affiliated with Yoga Alliance 300 hour. Registration with Yoga Alliance 300 hour provides a globally recognized credential.


In order to participate on this course you must have already completed a 200 hr YTTC either at Kranti Yoga or another Yoga Alliance recognized school. If your 200 hr certification is not Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow, it is advisable that you have an awareness of the Primary Series and have some insight into this branch of yoga.

Course objectives

  • Teach Ashtanga Yoga (up to Navasana and Closing Sequence)
  • Assist/adjust in Self-Practice Ashtanga Yoga classes.
  • Further your knowledge about the Skeletal, Muscular and Respiratory Systems and apply them to your practice and classes.
  • Deepen your physical and spiritual practice through asanas, pranayama, meditation, kriyas, mantras and mudras.
  • Gain insight into Yoga Philosophy from texts including Bhagavad Gita and Patanjalis Sutras, integrating them into your practice.
  • Mentor students from 200 hr YTTC and be a Teaching Assistant to the Senior Teachers.

Anatomy of Alignment Classes

These will allow you to gain a deeper insight into The Primary Series by looking in detail at the body mechanics throughout. A revision of the Skeletal and Muscular System will allow you to become mindful of what is happening in the body during your practice. A familiarity with Active Release is an important part of being an effective Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Teacher. This can only be achieved with a sound understanding of what happens in each and every posture, anatomically. During these classes, you will also focus on how to modify practice for students with weak areas whether due to a lack of strength or flexibility. By looking at different body shapes, sizes and abilities, you will learn how to identify such weaknesses and be able to give preparation techniques to promote improvements.

Teaching Methodology

The Teaching Methodology Program will guide you towards teaching the Primary Series in terms of how to give clear instructions and reminders along with how to keep the necessary pace of Ashtanga Yoga. This part of the program runs closely with Anatomy of Alignment Classes as you will be encouraged to provide technical anatomical information to your students. The correct alignment of the postures will naturally be incorporated into your teaching. Each week, you will teach a section of the Primary Series, teaching a little more each week. Firstly, you will teach your peers and then progress to teach your own class to our Drop In students who will be of mixed abilities.

We have three teaching spaces (shalas) within The Yoga Village and so have the facilities to allow you to develop as a teacher. Drop In Classes are solely to allow our teachers to gain the valuable experience of dealing with the wide range of yoga students that you can be faced with. Learning to instruct, demonstrate, motivate, be inclusive and adapt to individual needs of your students is an integral part of the course. This can only be developed by delivering your own classes and getting constructive feedback. This part of the course can be particularly rewarding to you in terms of raising your profile as a yoga teacher, internationally.


Adjustments are a key feature of Ashtanga Yoga as they allow you to gain further insight into the postures through application of gentle pressure to deepen the stretch. Adjustments can only be learnt through practice. We offer a hands on approach that starts with practicing on your peers, moving onto assisting our main teachers on the 200 hr YTTC. Practice takes place each morning and so many opportunities are there for you maximise your potential in this area. We believe this part of our course in unique in terms of the volume of students we have for you to exploit. Each week you will be given specific adjustments to work on and these will be carried out under the close supervision of your teacher. In order for you to assist/adjust in these classes, you must first demonstrate that you can adjust confidently by means of a small assessment. This will be completed in the third week of your training.

Ashtanga Yoga Practice

Depending on your familiarity of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, a personal plan will be devised to further your practice. If you are new to Ashtanga, this will be supported through extra classes if necessary. Otherwise, you will continue to practice Primary Series and will have both Led Ashtanga Yoga Classes along with Self-Practice classes. If appropriate, you will also be introduced to some asanas of The Second Series. Each week, your teacher will give you a focus to work towards in order to advance your practice. Technical Workshops in the afternoons will continue to develop your techniques in Hip Opening, Jump Back, Transitions, Backbending and Arm Balancing. These workshops are particularly rewarding in terms of measuring the visible progress that you have made. Not only will you develop your own practice in all of these sessions, you will without doubt pick up helpful ideas to take with you to develop your own students in these areas.


Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, the breath initiates the movement from posture to posture. It is impossible to progress through the series without being familiar with the rhythm of your own breath as your focus is dependent on it to achieve sense withdrawal. You will review the 4 pranayama techniques covered on the 200 hr YTTC along with several more that will help you to lengthen your breath, increase your lung capacity and strengthen the nervous system. This is an important aspect of yoga that is often overlooked as asana practice takes precedence. Pranayama is a great way to alleviate stress and tension, something that is often endured in modern society. Pranayama practice will allow you to build mental and emotional strength to help you maintain a healthy sense of wellbeing, not just on the YTTC but in your everyday daily life.

Tutorials will explain the theory accompanying these breathing techniques enabling you to further develop your own personal practice. You will also include Pranayama when teaching.

Kriyas and Mudras

Cleansing will clear the system and allow the breath to flow freely. You will learn and practice all 6 cleansing techniques (shatkarma) on your course. Mudras will allow you to seal energy within the body. Again, tutorials will support the practice of all of these.

Yoga Philosophy

Classical Yoga Philosophy is interwoven throughout the program, drawing on Vedic and Tantric beliefs. You will study influential texts including The Bhagavad Gita and Patanjalis Yoga Sutras with tutorials designed to promote discussion and debate around these philosophies. You will be encouraged to incorporate key messages from these texts into your daily practice in order that your practice is supported spiritually. It is our aim that your spiritual development is just as important as your physical development. This, along with Yogic Lifestyle studies, encourages you to question and challenge your own lifestyle choices in order to improve your overall sense of wellbeing.

Teaching Assistant Program

A unique feature of our course is that you will act as a Teaching Assistant on the course. As previously mentioned, you will support morning practice in order to align and adjust students and so it is important that you develop a rapport with them. Students will be allocated for you to mentor on a one to one basis. You will be expected to devise personal plans for them with preparation advice for problem postures due to a lack of flexibility or strength. This is an ideal opportunity for you to demonstrate correct alignment that will have learnt with us. All this is closely supervised by your Lead Teacher. The program is always warmly received by both parties in terms of advancing the practice of the mentee and developing the teaching/communication skills of the mentor.

Classes are conducted from Monday to Friday (all day) and Saturday (until 6pm). Evening events: Mantra Chanting (once a week), Moonlight meditation, Candlelight meditation and the night screening of Yoga documentaries (twice a week).

Arrival of students must be one day before the course starts and departure is on the day after the course ends.

Kranti (Tarun) Agrawal
Tarun Agrawal est le fondateur et directeur de The Kranti Yoga Village. Il est né en 1980 a Chhattisgarh, en Inde. En suivant la tradition familiale, à l'âge de 9 ans, il a connu un gourou nommé Sant Chana Baba lors de discussions sur la méditation et la spiritualité yogique. Chana Baba était un maître de tantra qui vivait dans un temple dans le monts Shakti. Il a donné son nom spirituel à Tarun, Kranti, qui signifie révolution. Sans surprise, c'est ce nom que Tarun a choisi pour son école de yoga avec hébergement, sur Patnem Beach, à Goa.
Dhira Krishna
Dhira Krishna Rupa Das est actuellement prêtre et conseiller à Goa. Il organise régulièrement des formations de Bhagavat Gita et de Srimad Bhagwatam en anglais et en hindi dans différents quartiers de Goa. Il est certifié Bhaktishastri puisqu'il a suivi une formation basée sur les enseignements de Bhagavat Gita. Il a rejoint ISKCON (The International Society for Krishna Consciousness) à plein temps en 2007 à Goa et a été initié par H.H. Radhanath Swami Maharak. Dhira fait partie de l'équipe de Kranti Yoga et enseigne la philosophie et le yoga à Gita.
Julia Gavin
Julia pratique différents styles de yoga depuis plus de 10 ans, mais elle se concentre en tant que professeur de vinyasa flow avec Kranti, après avoir obtenu les bases du yoga ashtanga. Elle apprécie particulièrement le rythme de l'ashtanga mais adore la créativité et le dynamisme du vinyasa flow. Pour Julia, le yoga est une activité physique qui aide à se sentir bien au quotidien. En tant que professeur, elle considère que l'apprentissage est un long parcours et que nous devrions toujours chercher à élargir notre esprit en essayant de nouvelles activités autant que possible.
Robert McWilliams
Rob enseigne depuis 10 ans l'amour des arts de la performance. Après de nombreuses années, il a commencé à organiser des ateliers pour aider les artistes de performance à vaincre leurs peurs. Son intérêt pour le fitness l'a mené au yoga et à l'enseignement de cette discipline. Rob a suivi une formation de professeur de yoga de 500 heures avec Kranti Yoga et enseigne depuis lors dans de nombreuses destinations du monde entier.
Laura Shanks
Originaire de New York, Laura a découvert le yoga il y a plus de 15 ans au travers de la danse. Suivant les conseils d'un professeur de danse, elle a commencé à pratiquer le yoga Bikram puis a développé sa propre pratique. Elle a ensuite découvert plusieurs styles de yoga et sa pratique s'est développée au delà de l'aspect physique, pour s'intéresser à la spiritualité. Elle a suivi une formation de professeur de yoga de 200 heures en hatha yoga et méditation dans un ashram près du lac Atitlan, au Guatemala, ainsi qu'une formation de 300 et de 100 heures en ashtanga vinyasa avec Kranti Yoga.


Kranti Yoga is located in the magical Patnem Beach, South Goa. Unlike other parts of Goa Patnem Beach has retained its peacefulness and natural charm despite growing numbers of tourists to the area. The closest airport is Dabolim (Goa) Airport and the journey to us is just over an hour.

Patnem beach itself is lined with bars, restaurants and beach hut accommodations. The hospitality of the Patnem locals awaits you. Choose from the many dining options that offer international cuisine from all corners of the globe, as well as traditional Goan Curries, seafood specialties and the popular Vegan delights. It is ideal for those who enjoy harmony between beach life, yoga and relaxed dinners with friends. It is definitely a tradition to watch the phenomenal sunsets on the beach during your yoga teacher training, yogis regularly walk and run this beach and participate in lighthearted acro-yoga during the downing of the sun.

If you are looking for some evening entertainment, you are not far away from the tourist hub of Palolem. Here you will find more night-time activities, sometimes a welcome alternative to the quietness and early nights of Patnem. Palolem is only 5 minutes away from the shala and can be reached by rickshaw. Alternatively, 5 minutes in the other direction you will find the fabulous local location of Chaudi. Here you will find a more traditional Indian experience with local fresh food and seafood markets, chai stands, supermarket, pharmacy etc.


In the shala, you will be served all meals throughout the day (breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner) 7 days a week. (Students often choose to eat out on Sunday as a treat for their day off). There are also snacks, fruits, fresh juices, coconuts, Ayurvedic teas, Herbal and Chai teas and purified water available. All meals are served buffet-style in our outdoor dining hall giving you a range of options for you to choose from. Kranti Yoga promotes a healthy diet and the foods served are freshly prepared for you daily. Kranti considers proper nutrition to be a very important part of your time during the teacher training and we do our best to combine a Sattvic diet with some western elements for your body to be well fueled. We have an Indian kitchen on site with wonderful cooks, who will delight you a large array of Traditional Indian specialties. The kitchen is at your service and ready to accommodate all your dietary requirements, whatever they may be. The meals are strictly vegetarian and the kitchen is easily able to cater for vegan, lactose intolerant, gluten free and other diets. If there is something you need or crave, they will always try to help. If you miss a meal, the cooks will always rustle something up for you. There is never a need to be hungry. All food is sourced locally and the menu will consist of seasonal fruit and vegetables. Local produce is organically grown and bought on a daily basis. The groceries are bought from nearby markets and stores in order to support the local community.

Outside of the Shala, you will find a range of restaurants and cafes serving a host of tasty and healthy choices. You can choose from traditional Indian dishes or pick from a rich international menu that is widely available in most restaurants. The food in Patnem and neighboring Palolem is some of the finest cuisine on offer in Goa. Patnem is renowned for a high standard of hygiene.
