El Matuy is an eco-hotel which has 10 cabins made out of wood and palm leaves each with a private bathroom, a furnished terrace, and hammocks. All cabins are on the beach close to the ocean in Palomino, Guajira.
Every cabin and common areas at El Matuy are lit with candles and lanterns. With the intention of providing you an environment suited to disconnect both your body and mind, El Matuy opted to keep the electricity away except for Wi-Fi and electricity access at the front desk to charge cellphones and other devices.
Within El Matuy, you will be able to find a tropical dry forest, a lagoon filled with herons, and water lilies and enjoy more than 100 meters of private beach. Due to the proximity to the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, there is one river at each side of the Reserve that is easily reached by walking on the beach.
El Matuy also has a beach volleyball court, lounge chairs, hammocks, and kiosks at the beach.
This retreat is designed and open to all gender expressions and people of all ages and backgrounds.
