Himalayan Yog Ashram has six comfortable bedrooms in total. All have heater, air conditioning, and comfortable beds (with duvet in winter). They are airy and light. Private bathrooms are attached, complete with hot shower and toilet. The ashram has different balconies which can be used. Some rooms have also a private balcony. Besides there is also a roof terrace to enjoy the sun, the moon, and the stars.

The yoga shala is on the upper floor, the treatment room where all Ayurvedic treatments are held too. The dining room is down next to the kitchen.


In collaboration with traditional masters, Himalayan Yog Ashram has designed a program that counts in total three levels.

  • Level 1: Yoga teacher training
  • Level 2: Advanced yoga teacher training
  • Level 3: Yoga master training

Every level is a one-month training and gradually you grow from student to yoga master. The first level is accessible for all students and with passing the exam you become a certified Yoga Alliance yoga teacher and can start to teach yoga everywhere around the world. To continue to a next level, a gap of one year minimum is needed to integrate the level before.

What you will learn

You will learn asana, mudra, bandha, satkarma. You will learn 60 asanas (and 18 asanas in-depth), eight pranayamas, the main bandhas, yogic cleansings techniques (satkarmas), and yoga relaxation techniques like yoga Nidra.

Meditation and different techniques of meditation will be experienced and learned. During the course, meditation practice will be there for one hour daily.

There will be teaching methodology class where asanas will be studied as well as the basic steps of building up the asana, physical and energetic alignment, the limitations and benefits of each asana on physical, mental, and spiritual level. Eighteen asanas will be studied in depth, the meaning of each asana, its history and purpose.

Behind the yoga practice an incredible knowledge is present, passed through the Himalayan masters on to their disciples. In yoga philosophy class, the Patanjali Yoga Sutras will be studied.

You will learn anatomy and physiology of body, mind, and soul and sound therapy (chanting). You will learn to develop devotion and Bhakti Yoga.

Communication techniques, time management, priorities, and boundaries are part of the course to design a practice and class.

There will be teaching practicum where you will demonstrate asanas and design class with feedback from the trainers and your peers

There will be Q&A sessions and life stories of yogis. Daily time for question and answers, for sharing about most existential life questions, like what is the main purpose of life, the ego, karma, what does transformation mean, how to come to inner peace, etc. Also, life stories of the great yogis will be shared.

Please do not book flights until your application has been approved. Arrival is on Monday before 6 p.m. The course starts on Tuesday at 4 p.m. and ends on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Departure is on Thursday 10 a.m. Please do not book a flight leaving Delhi before Thursday evening.


Yogi Ram
Yoga Alliance RYT 200 (Yoga)
Born in Rishikesh, Yogi Ram grew up in a traditional Brahmin family. The wealth of Indian traditions was part of his life since he was a young boy. It was at this early age that he already felt a strong urge to delve deeper into the mysteries of nature and life. Yogi Ram inspires many people in East and West with his teachings. He is giving yoga and spiritual retreats in Italy, France, the Netherlands, and Korea. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and sociology and Master's Degree in Yoga and Philosophy.
Stefania Kudrat Floreani
Stefania started to study and practice naturopathy in 1997 in her country, where she also owned her herbal shop for many years and where she has been naturopathy teacher in different schools. She has a natural passion for the ancient science of Ayurveda combined with yoga therapy, especially for women. Yogic science entered her life in 2002 through Hatha yoga, Tao yoga, and particularly Kundalini yoga.
Kapil is one of Himalayan Yog Ashram's yoga masters.

Lieu du séjour

This teacher training course will be held in Rishikesh, India. Rishikesh is situated in the Himalayan foothills and on the banks of the holy river Ganges. It’s about 24 kilometers from Haridwar and well-known for its history. For thousands of years, many holy men (Rishis, Sadhus, and Yogis) have been living and performing their yogic practice (sadhana) here.

These intense meditational practices combined with the magnificent vibrations from the Himalaya and Ganges definitely make this a special spot on Earth. It is a great place to nourish the soul and uplift your consciousness.

The price includes vegetarian meals served three times a day. During the day, Himalayan Yog Ashram provides herbal tea. Filtered water is always available from the filtered water system. Please inform Himalayan Yog Ashram on forehand in case you have any allergy. In the case of gluten allergy, Himalayan Yog Ashram can do some adaptions in the menu (like leaving the chapatti out), but Himalayan Yog Ashram also recommends to take care yourself of any special needs.

During the training, you will have free time that you can enjoy for sightseeing and studying on Sundays. There is also a beautiful walk to the close by the waterfall. It’s also possible to book the Ayurvedic treatment from Himalayan Yog Ashram’s therapy center.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL). You can take a domestic flight and arrive at Dehradun Airport (DED). Transfer from and to Dehradun airport is available upon request. Let Himalayan Yog Ashram know about your arrival time and flight and they will arrange your pickup.

Himalayan Yog Ashram does not arrange transfers from and to Delhi airport.

Arrival by train

You can take train from Delhi to Haridwar (approximately four hours). From Haridwar to Tapovan (Rishikesh) is one hour by taxi.

Arrival by taxi

From Dehradun to Tapovan (Rishikesh) is a 40 minute drive by taxi.
