You will stay in a beautiful ashram with authentic, cozy rooms, hot running water and comfortable beds. An ashram is the traditionally given name of a spiritual Hindu monastery. It can be used to describe a place where a spiritual or religious guru and his disciples live. Those places are dedicated to spiritual activities, such as yoga, meditation or religious education. In Sanskrit ' srama ' ashram means; "making an effort to reach liberation".
The ashram has 75 rooms in total and is divided into 3 blocks. All rooms have a bathroom with hot water and a nice view or balcony. The ashram has its own temple and a main yoga hall, which fits 30 students. Additionally, there are 2 open yoga places. The first block consists of 20 rooms for the swami and other saints who live and work in the ashram. All these saints are Bramcharya (people who practice celibacy). The second block consists of 37 rooms for guests and supporters, who help to run the ashram. The third block consists of 18 rooms, which are especially for visitors that want to learn about yoga and ashram spirituality. The ashram has 2 beautiful gardens where guests can enjoy flowers and can spend time enjoying nature and the beautiful murmur of the Ganges. There is also a walking area around the property, for all residents of the ashram. Additionally, there is a cow farm of which all dairy products are used within the ashram.
