Casa Om has ten beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms, a spacious and well-equipped yoga room, a swimming pool, and a kitchen. Bedrooms are double occupancy and have either a private bathroom or a bathroom shared between two rooms.
The rooms at Casa Om are comfortable and beautifully designed with air conditioning and fans. Drinking water and a small coffee maker are in each room. Most rooms have a mini-fridge. Yoga mats, towels, and beach towels are provided. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the resort.
You will practice yoga with a picturesque ocean view and take part in Bikram yoga, Vinyasa yoga, backbend, and inversion workshops. When you are not practicing yoga with experienced yoga teachers, you will go on fun excursions, sightseeing, snorkeling, and enjoying the delicious food Mexico has to offer. You will also have the chance to make friends.
You will have an excursion to Playa del Carmen.

Hargobind Khalsa was born into a family of yogis. After breaking vertebrae in his back, he began practicing yoga with regularity. He completed Kundalini yoga training in India in 2000. As an avid soccer and basketball player, he has always relied on yoga for its therapeutic and healing qualities. He completed Sterling Hot yoga training in 2014. He also completed world champion Jared McCann’s yoga training in New York City in 2015. Along with Siri Om, he is the co owner of Pure Om and Casa Om.
Siri Om Khalsa
Siri Om Khalsa graduated Bikram Teacher Training in 2001. She is the owner of two yoga schools and the owner of Casa Om. She studied with Bikram Choudhury since 1993. She practices Bikram yoga daily and attended training programs in Anusara and Kundalini. Her love for yoga is effervescent and will inspire you to new heights in your practice. She lives in Virginia with her husband and daughter.
Casa Om is located 16 miles (27 kilometers) south of Cancun International Airport. It has ten bedrooms, ten bathrooms, a pool, a koi pond, three kitchens, and a 1000 square foot (92 square meters) yoga room suitable for all types of yoga including Hot yoga.
The yoga room, which can fit 40 yogis comfortably, has mirrors, heaters, a sound system, mats, towels, blocks, straps, blankets, and chairs. Each bedroom has air conditioning and fans. Free Wi-Fi is provided as well. Casa Om is one minute and 29 seconds walk at a moderate pace to the beach. It is also a 10-minute walk from restaurants, a grocery, and coffee shops.
Puerto Morelos is located approximately sixteen miles south of Cancun, affording visitors the best of both worlds. World class amenities, proximity to the beach, and a more laid back atmosphere than the busy Cancun - one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.

Four gourmet dinners by Casa Om’s exquisite chef are included in the price. Casa Om runs a full gourmet vegetarian kitchen which offers extensive Mexican, Thai, New American, and Lebanese food options. Visitors love the fresh juices and superfood smoothies. All dishes are prepared with a healthy yogic lifestyle in mind.
The head chef, Eduardo Gomez, who is a former restaurateur, brings more than 10 years of professional cooking experience to Casa Om. Passionate about food, his cooking classes are a favorite among visitors. Those passionate about cuisine will find a like-minded soul.
Gluten free and vegan meals will be available upon request. You can have all your meals at Casa Om when you visit, but you can also explore restaurants in the area.
Puerto Morelos is a small village situated 20 miles between Playa Del Carmen and Cancun. It offers world class infrastructure in a small town setting. It means Casa Om gets the best of both worlds. There are so many fun things to do in and around Casa Om. Last year, Casa Om offered Bikram yoga, snorkeling, sweat lodges, hands-on corrections workshops, a photo yoga posture class, a special Ashtanga class in playa del carmen, a Kundalini class, a shopping trip, visits to zip lines over cenotes, Mayan ruins, classes on the beach, cooking classes, massage treatments with a Mayan healer, and a movie night.
The warm Caribbean waters off of the Mexican Riviera boast of sea turtle populations year-round. You can outfit with a dive shop to snorkel with these lovelies or head out with your own gear.
You can go to the botanical gardens of Puerto Morelos for a nice walk in the shade as you explore this beautiful green park, look for spider monkeys, discover rugged temple ruins, and cross a swinging bridge. It takes about 90 minutes for this local adventure. It's the only place in the region where you will find preserved and pure indigenous nature.

The Mexican Riviera is flush with these beautiful underground pools; thus, a trip in the place isn’t complete without a dip in these refreshing waters. There are multiple cenotes to visit that are much less crowded than those in the Tulum area and only about 30 minutes away by car. Find tranquility below ground or enhance your experience with a cenote or zip line combination. Both options are available and booking at least a day in advance is recommended.
The Mayan city of Chichen Itza is the jewel of the archaeological sites in the Yucatan Peninsula. Considered one of the modern seven wonders of the world, Chichen Itza's more famous landmark is the main pyramid call. There is also a sacred cenote on the site where ancient Mayans used to perform a lot of sacrifices. It is a four-hour drive from Puerto Morelos, but visits can include a stop in the colonial town of Valladolid where excellent vegetarian food can be found. The excursion will take a whole day, but the majestic site will not disappoint you.
If you feel like having a quiet night out, you can catch a movie at one of many movie theaters in Cancun and Playa del Carmen. You can find 3D theaters in Cancun and Playa del Carmen and 4D theaters in Cancun. Films are played in their original language and with Spanish subtitles, but sometimes they are translated so make sure you check at the ticket office first.
If you want to have a night full of emotions and imagination, the Riviera Maya is one of the few places in the world where you can experience a show hosted by this renowned circus. Reservations must be made, but Casa Om can help you.
The Mayan ruins at Coba are one of the few sites in the Yucatan that are still relatively unrestored. Many of these ancient buildings are the same as when they were rediscovered in 1890. The beautiful location is less hectic and touristy than other Mayan sites and is certainly worth the day trip.
Ek Balam is one of the most ancient and more recently restored Mayan cities in the area. You can rent a bike to ride across the jungle, go on top of the main pyramid, and visit a refreshing cenote full of geological formations and a very fun zip line. It's only two hours drive from Puerto Morelos. On the way, you can also visit the colonial town of Valladolid.
Puerto Morelos has an excellent variety of restaurants, ranging from Uruguayan food, vegetarian, Indian, Mexican, fusion gourmet, etc. Most places offer a fish-and-sea food menu, but you can always request for something vegetarian. You can find a wider variety of options in Playa del Carmen and Cancun as well as numerous organic stores of fine delicatessen products from the region.
Thanks to the coral reef, Puerto Morelos has excellent water conditions allowing you to enjoy this friendly exercise while contemplating on an unusual panorama off the shore. It will just take you a few hours, but the silence alone might be exactly what you need.
Take a shopping trip, have a great meal, or just enjoy people watching on a trip to Playa del Carmen. This is a fun tourist spot where you can shop for anything from cheap souvenirs to boutique items.
If you’re a diver, you can dive in the coral reefs or, for something a little different, take a cavern or cenote dive. Seasonally, the more adventurous yogis can also try a bull shark dive! Tons of diving options await the intrepid.
As one of the world's premier tourist destinations, the shopping options in the Riviera Maya are impressive. You will find everything from ultra-chic designer stores and famous brand names to flea markets and souvenir shops. There are many shopping malls in Cancun and Playa del Carmen, all offering the avid shopper a real treat.
However, if you are looking for real and authentic Mexican handmade gifts, you can go to the Market 28th in Cancun as well as to the 5th Avenue (Quinta Avenida) in Playa del Carmen, which is a pedestrian street where restaurants, shops, art galleries and various services are located. Every Thursday, during the evening, arts and cultural bazaars are installed along 5th Avenue where you can find and get original pieces directly from their designers.
The biodiversity on the protect reef in the Mexican Riviera is stunning. Take off for an afternoon when the sun lights up the corals, tropical fish, and sponges and search for turtles or reef sharks. Snorkelers can float above it all while snuba divers (no certification needed) can swim down into the tropical traffic. Either option will highlight why this area is protected and turned into a National Marine Park.
Yogis can walk to the beach and take a five minutes stroll to reach the operator. This natural oasis is literally steps from the retreat center.
The Tulum ruins are just two hours south of Puerto Morelos. They are one of the main ceremonial centers of the ancient Mayans. Today, the archaeological site is one of the most visited locations of the Riviera Maya. Its location and turquoise mythic waters will not disappoint any expectations.
Casa Om can help you arrange transportation that will pick you up, take you there, help you buy the tickets, wait, and take you back. To avoid big crowds, Casa Om recommends that you go very early and avoid weekends.
Do you want to swim with the largest fish in the world? In the Riviera Maya, you can do it. From mid-May to mid-September, this area has the privilege to receive the largest migration of the mighty whale sharks. Casa Om can help you make a reservation for the transportation to pick you up and take you to Punta Sam where you will get on a boat that will take you into open waters where the sharks can be found.
The boat ride is about an hour long. To avoid hurting the sharks, sunscreen is not allowed before swimming with them.
Xel-ha and Xplor Xcaret amusement parks are known for the quality of their shows, delicious food, huge aquariums, and beautiful locations. From adventure to nature, Xcaret parks have it all. For the more adventurous, Xplor offers underground caves, ATVs, and thrilling zip lines.
Lovers of nature will enjoy Xel-ha's incredible sea life but, for a complete experience, Xcaret main park and its famous night show will take you through the history of Mexican culture, ranging from ancient civilization to modern times. Food is provided at the parks, so it's best to plan a whole day for your visit.
Have a spa treatment in Casa Om's very own spa and let all of your stress melt away! Their in-house therapists offer a breath work therapy, Polynesian massage, or re-connective healing to relax you during your stay. Casa Om also partners with Mayan healer Avelino May Xul who practices energetic healing techniques rooted in Mayan culture. He goes to Casa Om one day a week, by appointment only, so please let Casa Om know in advance.
Please book your flight to arrive at Cancun International Airport (CUN). Transfer from and to the airport is included. Casa Om will pick you up from the airport.
You can take a taxi for about 50 USD or arrange a car pickup which is less expensive. It is a 20-minute car ride from the airport to Casa Om.
