Accommodation options of private or shared rooms are available for the duration of the training. Every room has a private bathroom, hot water, a fan, WiFi and includes a delicious and different breakfast every morning. 1 free bag of laundry per week and unlimited coffee, tea and drinking water are also included.

Daily Schedule

• 09:00 - 10:00 Chanting and Yoga sutras
• 10:00 - 12:30 One practice based session and one information based session
• 12:30 - 13:30 Lunch
• 13:30 - 17:30 One practice based, one information based, and experimental session
• 17:30 - 18:30 Yoga class led by one of the teachers

Sundays are free days.

The second Saturday of the course we will take a road trip into the jungle and spend the afternoon at Bromelia Nature and Healing Lodge. Once there, we will participate in a Qi Gong class, exploring another modality of moving energy within your body. With free time after the class, you can swim in river, relax in the hot tub, find a hammock or take a Reiki or massage session (additional cost). We will have a tapas style dinner together with a bonfire to finish off the day!

Casa del Sol Montanita

Casa del Sol is located a 10 minute beach walk from the center of the small bustling coastal town of Montanita, Ecuador. This little community of hotels and restaurants is situated at the far north end of the beach and is super tranquil and relaxed. The town itself attracts international tourists from all over the world, who have come to share in the magic and undeniable energy of this place!

The bamboo, ocean view studio is located on site and lends itself to be the perfect place to practice yoga. In front of the hotel is the surf break that Montanita is famous for. With a year round wave and the beach break for beginners, all levels can explore and practice the sport of surfing here!

Included in the price of your training is lunch six days per week. They are all vegetarian and made fresh everyday from local ingredients.

Art classes

Re-purposed and recycled art classes is a new series of workshops using the recyclable material from the beautiful Casa del Sol. Projects use from wine bottles to tetra packs, among other materials.

Excursions

Local tours companies offer a wide range of excursions in and around the area. Attractions include snorkeling, whale watching, and even Galapagos tours. -Qi-Gong

The meaning of the word is literally life energy cultivation. Qi-Gong is a practice of aligning body, breath, mind for health, meditation, and martial arts training. With roots in Chinese medicine, philosophy, and martial arts, Qi-Gong is traditionally viewed as a practice to cultivate and balance chi or what has been translated as life energy.

Spanish lessons

Mar Azul Spanish School will offer you the opportunity to receive personalized Spanish lessons in a comfortable and easy going environment, at a time convenient for you. Your native Spanish-speaking trainer is qualified and will provide lessons and study materials according to your learning style. One-on-one, two-on-one, and group learning options are available.

Sunday cinema night

Every Sunday evening at 08:00, the hotel shows a variety of different films with Spanish subtitles. Guests have the possibility of scheduling in advance what films they would like to see.

Travel Arragements

When booking flights, you will be flying into Guayaquil (GYE) or you can fly into Quito and then book a connecting flight to Guayaquil.

We can arrange a private taxi transport to pick you up at the airport. The cost of this is $90 USD, but we try to arrange 3 or 4 students together to split the cost. Will take 2 1/2 hours to get to the hotel.

Bus

There are direct buses to Montanita every day. They are run by CLP and leave from Terminal Terrestre, which is a 3 min ride from the Airport in Guayaquil.

(average taxi cost to bus terminal is $3.50 USD). Bus times: 5 am, 6 am, 7 am, 1 pm, 3 pm, 4:30 pm, 6 pm and costs $6.00 USD. It will take about 3 hours.
