Escape to an exotic beachfront resort, in Maya Tulum, Mexico, a premiere yoga and wellness destination on the Caribbean. Located just footsteps from the ocean, this is the perfect place for you to de-stress, relax, and connect your mind, body, and soul. Take a break from the hustle and bustle of your daily life, deepen your yoga practice, heal yourself, and rejuvenate.
The retreat will be held at the beautiful and tropical beachfront resort, Maya Tulum. Maya Tulum's accommodations are beautiful and elegant cabanas on the beach, many with stunning ocean views, crafted and designed by local Mayan artisans. Each secluded thatched-roof cabana has its own unique features, all designed to let in lots of sunlight, fresh air, and the sounds of nature and the ocean.
Each cabana has its own well-appointed bathroom, distilled water dispenser, a safe for valuables, daily maid service, and lovingly tended landscape. Walk out of your cabana onto the sand, just footsteps from the ocean. Single or double occupancy is available.
The ocean front villa has one king and one double bed with a privacy wall separating each bedroom area. Each bedroom has a seating area by the windows looking out to the sea.
Under the thatched roof, you will find immaculate beds with crisp white linens, draped with shimmering gossamer netting, ceiling fans, and a fully-appointed tiled bathroom with open shower area and walls hung with original art. There is a safe for your valuables, a generous supply of linens, and drinking water but no television, phone, or alarm clock.
The cabanas have a partial view of the Caribbean Sea and lovely views of the gardens, set as they are just behind the ocean front cabanas. As well as retreating from your daily life, you will have the opportunity to deepen your yoga practice with two yoga classes daily, including Vinyasa flow for all levels and Yin or Restorative yoga. Two optional workshops will be held during the retreat, which consist of learning natural, efficient, and injury free ChiRunning and ChiWalking, and taking yoga off the mat into your daily life, including some yoga philosophy and an overview and discussion about the eight limbs of yoga.
All yoga classes and workshops are optional, although highly encouraged. The yoga classes will be a blend of Vinyasa flow and Hatha, linking movement with the breath, moving your body through both Yin and Yang postures. The classes will be theme-based, creative and balanced, and will incorporate pranayama, strengthening, stretching, detoxing, energizing, and meditation. You will experience a safe and nurturing practice, leaving you feeling relaxed yet energized.
The retreat will begin with a yoga class at 5:00 p.m. followed by an opening circle then a dinner. The retreat will end with a yoga class at 7:00 p.m. followed by a closing circle then breakfast. Check out is at 12:00 p.m.
The retreat will take place in Tulum, Mexico. This magical and mystical hidden gem is bordered by the ocean on one side and the jungle on the other.
You will be served daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the retreat. Maya Tulum has also a large and exquisite split level restaurant, cabana with cool marble floors and white limestone walls. Enormous windows offer stunning views over the ocean and coastline with the turquoise Caribbean Sea lapping the white sand.
The restaurant serves mostly vegetarian meals, as well as fresh fish and seafood options. Enjoy a smoothie or drink from the bar any time. Dietary requirements can be accommodated.
Optional activities and excursions may be arranged on arrival with additional costs, such as snorkeling, stand up paddleboardng, biking, hiking, and visits to beautiful lagoons, caverns, and popular Mayan ruin sites at Tulum.
For snorkeling, equipment can be rented at a local dive shop for an additional cost of 6 USD to 8 USD per day, located 15-minute walk from Maya Tulum. Bike rental is also available for 10 USD per day, located a 20-minute walk from Maya Tulum.
Marvel at thousands of stalactites, stalagmites, and natural sculptures as you wander through the five-million-year-old Aktun Chen Caverns. This tour starts with an introduction to the local flora and fauna, followed by a short hike to the entrance of the caves. Once inside, you will learn the fascinating story of their formation. Later, enjoy a refreshing dip in the Xunaan-Ha Cenote.
This trip will be held on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with an extra cost of 55 USD per person. Cost includes guided tour at Aktun Chen, entrance fee at Xunaan-Ha Cenote, and round-trip transportation.
Once a prosperous, bustling Mayan city of about 50,000, Coba is located among five lakes in the middle of the jungle. One of the most outstanding features of Coba is the incredible number of sacbe (elevated roads) that connect parts of Coba with other Mayan cities. This trip will be held on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with an additional cost of 50 USD per person.
Tulum, the only Mayan coastal city, was considered to be a trading center. The Tulum ruins perch atop fortress-like limestone cliffs overlooking the white, sandy beaches and turquoise waters of the Caribbean coast. Price includes entrance fees to the ruins, guide, and bottled water. This trip wiil be held on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with an extra cost of 40 USD per person.
This full day adventure includes a guided tour of the coastal ruins of the ancient Mayan trading post of Muyil, a two-hour boat trip across wetlands, a visit to a secret Maya temple, and a dip in an ancient canal built by the Maya. This trip will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with an extra cost of 95 USD per person. The cost includes guidance in English, Spanish, and French, air-conditioned transportation, entrance fees, boat trip, and appetizer.
The calm, clear Yal-Ku Lagoon is perfect for beginner snorkelers. The trip will be held on Monday from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., with an extra cost of 55 USD per person. The price includes round trip transportation, guides, snorkeling gear, and entrance fees where applicable.
Massages and spa treatments are available on-site at Maya Tulum, which can be booked at an additional cost. From facials, wraps and bodywork, to Mayan specialty treatments, they offer spectacular spa services to fit every guest’s needs. Massage or bodywork will cost around 70 USD to 120 USD per session.

Transport from the airport to Maya Tulum on Wednesday will cost around 120 USD for up to three people. The transfer from Maya Tulum to the airport on Sunday will cost around 40 USD per person. Coordination of flight times and ride shares can be arranged.
