Experience yoga in the wild with your yoga teacher, Julie Magneville. Live out of time to the rhythm of the sun in a peaceful and rejuvenating environment. Your place of life will be in a magnificent eco-lodge, a haven of peace in the jungle to the east of Colombo near Kaudulla National Park. Do not miss the awakening of nature before starting your first yoga class. You will meet the elephant the monarch of all Asia and especially of Sri Lanka. It is one of the last great mammals on the planet. Come to connect with all forms of life.

You will be accommodated in an eco-lodge, a haven of peace in the jungle. You can see the room at the first level of eco-lodge. The bed is queen-sized or individual sized. Furthermore, there are two beautiful bathrooms where you can take a shower after your yoga courses
The awakening of the jungle is a moment not to miss before you start your first Dynamic yoga class and have your breakfast. During your rest periods and according to your desires, you can join the staffs to exchange on the practice of yoga. The cook will prepare you a succulent vegetarian lunch based on the product from the organic farm. In the middle of the afternoon, you will follow the second session of yoga focused on introspection, relaxation, and meditation. Then, you will observe the elephants and watch the sunset.
Your daily practice of asanas will allow you to develop your physical stability and mastery of your breathing. The stay will be interspersed with days of rest to visit some historical sites such as Dambulla’s Golden Temple and discover the other places. It will be an enriching experience because observing elephants is learning a little more about yourself, a connection with all forms of life. Furthermore, the distribution of the week will be as the itinerary below.
The first day will be devoted to the airport transfer to the eco-lodge. You will discover this wonderful place in the jungle then you will take possession of your place of life. In the evening, there will be a briefing to explain the week.
The second, third, fourth, sixth, seventh, and eighth days will be devoted to the practice of yoga twice a day as well as moments of meditation. Every day, you will be able to witness the awakening of nature and in the evening, you will observe the wild elephants. These are exceptional moments not to be missed.
The fifth and ninth days will be devoted to visiting historical temples such as Dambulla’s Golden Temple and other magnificent places.
The tenth day will be for transfer to the airport.
Julie Magneville is an international teacher of Vinyasa and Hatha yoga. She teaches all over the world. She has been practicing yoga for more than ten years. She will accompany you in the discovery of yoga if you are a beginner or will help you to progress in your practice if you have already initiated. Julie is very interested in positive energies. She will teach you how to tune your breath with your body and mind so you can feel in harmony in your practice.
This retreat is situated in the East of Colombo close to the Kaudulla National Park, the ecolodge is situated into the jungle. With a history of more than 3000 years, Sri Lanka has built an exceptional cultural heritage. You will discover its mysterious ancient cities engulfed in the jungle, the Golden Temple of Dambulla, and its lying Buddhas. Following the spices route borrowed by Marco Polo, Sri Lanka has become an inescapable experience. This sacred pearl formerly known as Ceylon is located in the Indian Ocean.
It is made up of lush tropical forests, inhabited by a fauna of more than 86 species of mammals. Furthermore, the spice gardens and tea plantations on the mountainside will take you away from Western civilization. On the sea side, its beaches of coconut trees and white sand welcome you before leaving the mainland to go to meet the blue whales, sperm whales, dolphins, and other marine species. Moreover, Sri Lanka will give you a maritime experience with sperm whales and a land adventure with elephants.
Daily organic vegetarian breakfast (after the yoga morning practice), lunch, and dinner (after second yoga practice) will be served for you. You will also enjoy a tea time per day during this retreat.
Please book your flight to arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB). Transfer from and to the airport is included. BlueXperience will pick you up from the airport.
