You will be staying at Simrose, located in the center of beautiful Agonda beach, with soft golden sand framed by palm trees. Their tranquil beach has an amazing ability to make you relax almost instantly.

They offer 14 comfortable beach huts, five rooms on the first floor of a stone house and three ground floor stone rooms in different categories. The huts are all just a few steps from the beach and almost all of them have a sea view. They have a beachfront restaurant offering great food, a yoga shala for your daily practice, and offer free Wi-Fi access.

Certifications

Upon completion of this yoga teacher training, students will receive certificate affiliated with Yoga Alliance. Registration with Yoga Alliance provides a globally recognized credential. You will receive a one-of-a-kind double certificate upon successful completion of the training.

Skill level

Beginners are welcome to join the training, however, a one year experience is highly recommended in Vinyasa or Ashtanga practice.

Training program

This yoga teacher training in India program is offered by several highly experienced, talented, and compassionate instructors. All of their teachings are only on their specialty and expertise in their chosen disciplines. Together, all of the teachers have over 70 years of combined teaching experience.

Through this retreat, you will learn the ancient art and science of Mysore-Ashtanga-Vinyasa yoga primary series and Vinyasa flow. You will also learn the incredible skill of adjustments and modifications for eg.)using props, by the lead instructor who was trained by BNS Iyengar, the lineage of the great yoga master, Sri Krishnamacharya, considered the father of modern yoga; teacher of the world-famous yoga master Pattabhi Jois.

You will learn about the Astanga eight limbs, yogic lifestyle off the mat, nutrition modules, attend optional Indian vegetarian classes to learn delicious dishes and know more about the world famous Indian spices. You will practice with instructors who specialize in alignment and are physiology experts giving you lessons on yoga anatomy and how to safely teach yoga for beginners, elderly, and those who are in pain, with injuries, and many health conditions that are commonly seen in today's world.

You will also learn Myofascial release, which is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. Applied yoga therapy is taught in a practical manner through the yoga massage therapist certification modules.

Another highlight of this training program is an opportunity to learn Ayurvedic Indian massage which is an ancient healing art involving intensive work on the body’s meridians utilizing assisted stretching, deep compression, channeling of breath, and rhythmic movements. It is traditionally performed on a fully dressed recipient lying on a thin floor mat with or without oils.

The comprehensive massage and yoga anatomy modules will set the foundation for an enduring practice as an Ayurvedic massage therapist and yoga teacher. By keeping class sizes small, it is ensured that every student will work or gets worked on by the instructor, making the learning accurate and experiential. The Ayurveda, massage, and yoga anatomy modules are conducted typically from Monday to Friday, about 60 minutes per day (8 hours total).

The modules cover about 45-massage techniques with the client lying usually in a supine or lying-on-their-back position. The course is most beneficial for massage therapists, body workers, yoga practitioners, energy healers, and people interested in alternative healing methods for clients, friends, and family.

There will also be classes on yoga therapy, yoga for kids, the elderly, pregnancy and for pre and post-natal students, teaching methodology, ethics, business aspects of opening up and branding your yoga studio, yoga teacher social media tools, energy healing, Reiki, Kundalini, chakras, nadis, pranayama, Sanskrit mantras, yoga philosophy, kriyas, and much more!

You will learn about professional ethics and how to earn a living worldwide from sharing yoga with others in your community and abroad, how to create a business plan for your yoga studio and massage practice. This training will show you how to be a yoga teacher and massage practitioner starting from day one. You will be practicing one-on-one with your peers and teachers throughout the course. Essentially, you will be practicing how to be a teacher and practice to teach what you have learned starting from the first day of training.

Requirements

This yoga teacher training is suitable for all levels. Everyone is welcome but a year of yoga practice is highly recommended in Ashtanga or Vinyasa.

L. Farrah Furtado
L. Farrah est une canado-portuguaise et un professeur de yoga international certifiée E RYT 500 en Ashtanga Vinyasa. Elle est l'auteure de trois livres spirituels récompensés. Elle est directrice de Kaohsiung Yoga School et de Bend it like Buddha Yoga au Portugal. Elle a vécu 14 ans en Asie afin d'étudier les arts de la guérison dans les monastères bouddhistes à Taïwan, la guérison balinaise avec les maîtres de guérison énergétique à Ubud et a été formée dans le système traditionnel ashtanga vinyasa avec BNS Iyengar, dans la lignée de Pattabhi Jois et Krishnamacharya en Inde. Farrah est une maître de troisième degré de Usui Reiki.
Kanchen
Kanchen started practicing yoga two decades ago and has been teaching professionally for over 10 years, Kanchen has studied with many eminent teachers about asanas and adjustment and is well versed in Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga and Hatha yoga. Kanchen has studied with Balaji Rao thombre and pranayama, mantra, mudra, and philosophy with Sri BNS Iyengar in Mysore. Kanchen has also won many prizes at district and state level competitions. She established and has been running successfully the BNS Iyengar Khrisnamacharya School in Mysore for over a decade.
Reshy
Reshy has assisted and also led several 200-hour yoga teacher training programs in India and Thailand for different schools. She has registered her yoga school, Yoga Space, with Yoga Alliance and offers 200-hour yoga teacher training in Hatha and Vinyasa flow yoga. Reshy trained in the discipline of yoga under two very experienced teachers, Sujata Nerurkar and Dr. Renu Mahtani at Param Yoga, in Pune, India, where she completed her foundation in Hatha yoga teacher training and medical yoga therapy in 2011. She trained further in Vinyasa yoga, prenatal yoga, science of pranayama, and Viniyoga.
Tori Mitchell
Tori Mitchell is an expert in Ashtanga Vinyasa and the founder and main instructor at Vibe Yoga, Taiwan. Her most recent background training is in the advanced teacher training in anatomy and adjustments with Arielle Nash at Centered Yoga in Koh Samui, Thailand. Tori Mitchell also studied Ashtanga Vinyasa with Manuel Ferreira, an authorized teacher from KPJAYI and also completed a two-week immersion with Iain Grysak in Ubud, Bali on pranayama, philosophy, and Ashtanga Vinyasa. She's trained in asana and pranayama in Mysore, India with the last living legend of Ashtanga, Guruji BNS Iyengar.

Activités et lieux à visiter

Goa is famous for its beaches, but there are many more things to do and to see here. You can take a boat to the sea for dolphin watching or fishing, drive a rickshaw or a scooter to Cabo de Rama fort, or go shopping to nearby Palolem beach, visit one of states spice farms, enjoy day in Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary observing animals and birds there or cooling down in one of waterfalls, all of this is in Agonda or around it.

You can also take a couple of hours taxi ride and explore Portuguese heritage in Goa, visit churches of Old Goa or authentic Braganza house. Devoted shoppers and party lovers can check out Saturday market in North Goa offering a combination of music, performances, various foods, and of course a big variety of clothes and souvenirs to buy.

You may also choose to go for kayaking to mangroves in the Arabian sea or avail a variety of healing massages and Ayurvedic treatments at the onsite spa of Simrose.
