Your accommodation will be in a cozy, open, clean, flexible, and beautiful shared room where in and outdoor spaces harmoniously blend together. The magnificent exterior is reflected in the beauty, clarity, and balance of the forms inside. Gardens, full of herbs, scents, and colors; large terraces overlooking the Rias Baixas, the Atlantic Islands and the Ocean, open to the sounds of the winds, loaded with life and secrets from far away; constructions built, decorated and maintained with materials, respectful to the environment.

Centro Punta de Couso is a wonderful place to reconnect, with yourself and everything around you, ideal for training, workshops, therapies, and intimate concerts. An environment where one can find the seclusion, peace, silence, and serenity to go deeper and where the energy of the place "does half the job". A place that invites to stop and reconnect with the essence of life, a place to come together!

Programme

The retreat will be taught and led in the English language. Practices will include asanas, meditation, spinal breathing pranayama and samyama, as well as other yoga practices. The focus of the retreat will be on the cultivation of inner silence and peace-fullness. Full instructions in practice will be given. All yoga classes and meditation sessions are optional, so each person can take the retreat at whatever pace suits them.

This retreat will be suitable for intermediate and advanced level practitioners and will include some of the advanced pranayama techniques used in AYP. If you are not sure if you are at a suitable level of experience to attend this retreat, please contact AYP Yoga.

Tristan Dorling
Yoga Alliance E-RYT 200 (Yoga)
Tristan had his first awakening experience in 1990 after a meditation retreat in a Buddhist cave monastery in Thailand and experienced the awakening of Kundalini the following year in 1991. Over the next 19 years, he continued to study Buddhist meditation and yoga, and then he traveled to Nepal, Sri Lanka, and especially India as often as possible to continue the study and practice of yoga in various ashrams and monasteries. He started teaching yoga and meditation in 2006. He qualified as a yoga teacher from the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Ashram in Kerala, India.

Lieu du séjour

This retreat takes place at the Punta de Couso retreat center in Galicia, North Western Spain. The center is beautifully converted and is located on a peninsula by the sea. The local area is very beautiful with nearby beaches and walks. Centro Punta de Couso offers a spectacular setting with beautiful views and access to the beaches, forests, and mountains of the Atlantic coast and the Rías de Aldan and Pontevedra.

You will be served two daily meals which include brunch and dinner, fruits, and hot drinks available all day. All food will be vegetarian which will support your yoga and meditation practice. AYP Yoga can also cater for vegan diets and special diets such as dairy or gluten free upon request.

Please book your flight to arrive at Vigo–Peinador Airport (VGO), Santiago de Compostela Airport (SCQ), or Porto Airport (OPO). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request.

The closest place of arrival to the center, with frequent communication with the great cities of the region (Vigo, Pontevedra), is the town of Cangas in Morrazo Peninsula. You can take the bus to Vigo and Pontevedra and then Cangas.
