Awaken Meditation Retreats use different locations for each retreat, often a private house in the Byron Bay shire within walking distance to the beach. Being close to nature is important for them to provide a peaceful and healing environment. Private rooms also available on request.

  • Scenic visits of the Byron Shire area: includes the famous Minyon Falls and the Byron Bay Lighthouse Walk

You will go to a different place most afternoons (weather permitting) to practice meditation and mindfulness exercises in nature and also to visit some beautiful areas of the Byron region. All excursions are included in the retreat's fees but are not compulsory. Dinner will be at 18:30.

    he is a teacher at Awaken Meditation Retreats, life coach and author. She has been a spiritual teacher and healer for more than 10 years. She has practiced intensive periods of meditation and has studied the working of the mind for many years. She learnt that often the mind is standing in the way of a happy and fulfilled life. She teaches people how to become in control of their mind to find true and long lasting happiness. Karen created Awaken Meditation Retreats in Byron Bay to empower people by teaching them tools that will change the quality of their life forever.

A place for self-development as well as an enjoyable guided journey, Byron Bay is a place where you can find true healing and relaxation. Awaken Mediation Retreats will show you around, and you will see why this place is so special. From scenic nature visits to kayaking with dolphins or paddling down the magical rivers of Northern NSW, theyre there to help you find what makes you happy once again.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Ballina Byron Gateway Airport (BNK) or Gold Coast Airport (OOL). Various shuttles operate daily from these two airports. The organizer will pick you up from the drop off in Brunswick Heads.
